Episode 1 was very very slow. Hopefully 2 will live up to the expectations mentioned above smile

Episode 2 was better and I enjoyed it. Let's see if they can continue.

I thought it was excellent, the first episides slowness I think was very deliberate and intended to impart some of the frustration and lack of excitement in his life. The second, well that escalated quickly.

After watching episode 2 I am baffled as to how anyone could call BCS "slow". It's off on a roll far far quicker than BB was. This is going to be one hell of a ride. And on HD Netflix the cinematography is just sensational.

Thirded. Just watched the second one and I'm liking it so far. The cinematography is a lot like BB, really nice in HD. The story is coming along nicely, I'm looking forward to more Saul/Mike stuff smile.

If you didn't 'get' Breaking Bad then I really do feel for you.

I felt the desert scene in EP2 could have been a little shorter, but the final 15 minutes really, really made it up for me and I can't wait to see the next one.

Imo it has huge promise and they could very well be onto a winner. I think it's intended 'for the fans', but that's just fine by me.

Well, I signed up for Netflix just for this and I'm not disappointed, really good first two episodes. Interesting flash forward at the start of the first. For me Saul was one of the best characters in BB so I'm very pleased we've got this show.

Now to find something else on NF worth watching...

I think The Shield is still on there if you haven't seen it. Better than BB imo ..........(puts flame proof thong on) wink

I think I'm going to disagree with that. It really has no relationship to BB except for some characters and locations. The only nod to BB was the slightly self indulgent start which from a BB perspective is a continuation but from a BCS PoV it's a foreshadowing. It's a familiar theme to BB in that it's a good man trying to do what's right who finds that what's wrong is more lucrative and more fun.

I don't think you need any knowledge of BB to enjoy this.

Even my 14yr old son commented on the camera angles - well shot, well scripted, well played - great to have something good to watch again.

Have they dug themselves in to a one/two season hole with the b&w vision of have future though?

Glad to see Jimmy/Saul shares my love of a nice rusty nail! Enjoyed episode 1, looking forward to watching number 2 later.

I thought both episodes were good, considering the weight of expectation it's carrying.

Looking forward to no. 3....

I liked all the little details that tell a story, the sloppy pouring, squirt of bottled lemon juice as opposed to a slice, all signs of a serious home drinker. I am enjoying the slow build

I haven't read the whole thread though fear of uncovering a spoiler but hugely enjoyed the first episode - it was on the slow side but it did a perfect job of building the basis of the story (I think) looking forward to episode 2 tonight - the only downside for me - most of these "must see series" I find way, way after everyone else and can burn through 2-3 a night - not since The Wire have I had to wait a whole week for the next one!
