So agree. We lose a great couple like this and that clown is still in it frown

My wife has instructed me to wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment that Scott Mills' continued presence is a blatant travesty

You can thank the legions of 16 yr old Radio 1 fans for that

It's becoming embarrassing that the likes of Judy Murray and Scott Mills are still in it. Neither have the first clue how to dance and should have been the first and second to go. Perhaps it should be the judges that decide who are going to be in the dance off and the public vote for them, at least then you know it'll be the bottom two in it each week.

It's spoiling the show seeing these idiots still in it each week.

It was nice to see some genuine emotion from the guys. Mark getting all teary and emotional was very touching, and Simon and Tom seem to have a genuine bromance (which was very sweet and a little moving. I really felt for them). I think the judges made the right decision (even if it was down to Len's casting vote) - I think Simon was the better dancer because Iveta carried Tom too much.

There is no way the two of them should have been in the dance-off though. I can see why there is a public vote - it makes viewers feel involved and also the revenue means the show pretty much pays for itself. But I really think the judges score should carry more weighing than 50%. The public vote should influence who stays, not pretty much dictate it. Scott has his R1 listeners, Twitter followers and Facebook followers, and Judy has tennis fans and Scots. That's an immense fanbase of voters, sadly.

Finally, did anyone else see that bit in the opening dance where one of the male pros threw one of the girls up and over his head whilst she did the splits, and a chap behind caught her? That rather blew me away, especially with the risk-averse BBC with their Health & Safety.

What a massive joke. Thom was probably the 2nd best guy in it after Jake and had loads of potential. And Simon was pretty much the same level.

Judy and Scott should have been in the bottom two. I don't even like Scott much, seems a bit of a grump and a crap dancer indeed.

Also Alison is getting worse and worse sadly.

On a positive note i could watch Pixie and Caroline dancing all day. Lovely.

Ps. I dance with my girlfriend currently, been doing it for about a year, and i find a lot of the dances almost unrecognizable compared to what we've learnt. Good for getting new ideas though.

I think i notice the feet, timing and shapes/lines a lorlt more than i did last year. My tutor also knows one of them well and gave them a few lessons in the past apparently.

They need to change the voting system so you vote for who you want to go, not stay.

Results... whatever. More importantly; Claudia's pins, and the fat lasso guy falling over the straw bale! biggrin
Unless it was a trick of the eye, the 'fat lassoo guy' appeared to do some pretty impressive backflips during the dance. But, yes, the prattfall was funny. smile

claudia was on fine form and leeegs, strewth.

she's getting easier on the eye for sure.

terrible result, Judy has her fans and clearly so does scott, I'm sure anton is a factor, he is extremely likeable.

time will tell.

talking of legs, Iveta on that samba cha i nearly spilt my monster munch...

rumours of a pregnancy - Ola????

ETA I thought the band and singers were absolutley superb this weekend and I think I might have a small man crush on Trent, his shaping and footwork, omigod. I ballroom dance with my wife and he is something else...the new Brendon

Absolutely, he may have been a bit tubby but he certainly could move.

And Ola quitting. She looks so much older than 32 but good luck to her and James starting a family.

The voting is a joke again, but as Len said, if you think so and so will be safe because they're good and don't bother to vote then you can only expect them to be in the dance off.

The latest from the Telegraph sums up Scott Mills rather well:

"At least Murray and Hammond are having a whale of a time. Mills doesn’t even seem to be enjoying himself, his expression switching between stage-struck terror and sulky pouts."

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/tvandradio/stri...

Edit: "whale of a time" rather inappropriate choice of phrase when mentioning Alison Hammond though. paperbag

I've not seen this weeks episode yet and will watch it this weekend. I was shocked to hear Thom go, he really should have had a couple more weeks. It is really embarrassing still having Judy and Scott in there and I cringe every time I see them dance. Scott appears as though he has been hurt by the judges comments and wants to go, but can't seem to get voted off.

I think it will be a sigh of relief for him when he does go.

p.s. not having seen the show I am surprised that Ola is going, was that announced this week on the show?

I've not heard it mentioned on the show, but she did an interview and said she would be leaving to start a family.

And on another note, Boy George was horrendous. I can't sing for toffee but even I might have managed to be slightly more in tune and in time with the band

I always end up recording the results show and watched this portion, agape, at how bored the band looked, how bad his singing was and how ultimately disinterested they seemed by the whole thing. And it's a st song anyway smile

I actually hoped that someone might have stopped it and said "you're st, Dave, give us a tune" smile

They definitively phoned that one in, for sure.

At one point, Boy George forgot to come in and had to pick it up mid-word. It was like karaoke.

The BBC don't take any money from any voting on any show. It is either done at cost or any profit is given to a charity.
