If we roundly slap selfish tts like krunchkin then this thread shouldn't have to be off limits on a Sunday.

It's pretty simple; if a show has not aired on TV yet and the only way you know something is through insider information, they you keep it to yourself or, at the very least, put it in spoiler tags with a cleartext warning what the spoiler contains. That's just common courtesy.

But someone who is just wanting to be a dick and kick sand in someone's face has no concept of courtesy, of course.

Personally I don't think the thread title should have been changed to say "with spoilers". We don't want spoilers.

I would rather the thread title were changed to "no spoilers" and it made quite clear that posting the results before the Sunday Results Show has been aired is not acceptable.

Indeed. And I'd genuinely like to see krunchkin, who presumably has bugger all interest in the show going by his comments, to be banned from the thread so that every week isn't fking ruined by that tit posting the result early for no reason.

What we want is for people to not post spoilers before the show has aired. I think it's fair to say that once the show has aired, people who are time-delayed should avoid the thread. Exactly the same as on threads such as the F1 threads.

Specifically, the results of the live Saturday show are known by people who were there, since they record the Results Show on Saturday night after the phone lines have closed. But the Results Show is not televised until Sunday evening, and that's the 'danger zone' for spoilers and which we want to be explicitly excluded. We specifically do not want the results to be revealed until the Sunday Results Show has aired.

Joking aside, I think "Strictly Come Dancing 2014 (Official Thread)" is probably fine. I think most people are sensible enough to know not to post the results before the Results Show airs; it's common sense. Anyone who does can be dealt with by the mods on an individual basis as necessary.
