Zoe Ball is so cr*p on ITT; shouty, cuts people off after one sentence, attention span of a gnat. The interviews would be interesting tonight if they could actually get a word in edgeways.
Reckon Pixie could do a better job ?

Indeed. She's lovely to look at but I do find her voice annoying.

Caroline on the other hand gets more attractive every week, she could present it (she was always good on X-tra factor when I watched it).

James Jordan is always Tweeting about disputes and slating the BBC, and this is apparently Ola's last series, so there is disagreement behind the scenes.
James is very bitter about the fact he isn't treated as well as he would like to be treated. He thought the show should be more about him and Ola. There was an element of bluffing in the contracts and he lost out, so he went to do Big Brother instead.

There's bound to be some arguments, there's 20 odd people all with very big personalities and many large egos.

It will be interesting to see how they go on their own, I don't think Vincent Simone has done that well but he might not be the draw of James and in particular Ola

Sounds bhy, but I think Ola's started to feel the pace this series and doesn't look to be in the shape she was.

True, it's the same with any long running television programme. What often kills them in the end is the people making them falling out with each other.

When you see the performances and listen to the judges comments and see who goes through and who gets kicked out, there's a lot more to it all than what you take at face value.

As I understand it the contestants' dances are created by teams of choreographers as the couples haven't time to come up with them from scratch at the beginning of the week and be performance ready by Saturday night. Criticising the contestants for the content of the choreography is just silly.

James has always been a bit of a tt imho, Funny how all the other dancers seem to just get on with it, surely they must realise that without this programme nobody would have a clue about whom they are.

I'm sure i read somewhere that Ola is going to do the jump or dive or something & James has been barred from being there when all the other contestants have been allowed their partners to be there. Sounds like James & Ola have got too big for their boots.

There's a fair bit of bks being spouted about how the show is filmed on here. So let me, as an ex BBC employee and someone who has watched it being shot, confirm:

Friday is full rehearsal and the judges get to see the dances being done as they will be live - so opinions can begin to form.

Saturday the audience is in place by 3-4pm - and prerecords begin. These will be showdances to be used at start of saturday and on sunday, plus popstar perfomances. Sometimes if the popstar is in the country at the right time these may even be shot and used at a later date. Presenters wear the sunday outfits as required to do links. Then they go and get changed into saturday outfits.

The Saturday show then goes out 100% live. There are no edits in the live segments of saturday. Its complete balls to suggest there are.

Then everyone goes and sits down and has a rest while the voting comes in. All dancers and contestants stay in costume and get fixed up. Presenters change into sunday outfits

Once voting is done audience file back in, presenters record the sunday segment, any additonal throws to stuff already on tape. And everyone is wrapped by about 1100

I have no idea what's dubbed on for live football. I'm talking about Strictly.

You seem to think that everyone watches football. I have no interest in the game and can't remember the last time I watched any. I think the last game I saw was a World Cup game some time in the early 2000's and only then because a friend really wanted to see it and I sat through it for them.

Thanks for your input, but that has to be some years ago.

I'm sure someone who went as a recent member of the audience said they had to keep stopping because of Brucie's cock ups.

And as I've said, I definitely noticed at least one edit in the Saturday show.

I recently heard a podcast of a More or Less programme that talked about the divorce or break up rate linked to Strictly. The result was that considering that nearly all the contestants are in the music, theatre or acting trades the actual break up rate on Strictly is not so high compared to a control group of none strictlt artists.
I would post a link but cant find the programme.

Kara and Artem got together on the show and they're still together now. In that kind of industry people are going to be in intense situations together all the time, as well as being away from their partners for extended periods. They either deal with it or they don't. Strictly isn't going to have any specific effect as it's nothing compared to being abroad for months or doing lots of sex scenes.
