Really don't like Tess's hosting skills. All seemed a bit.........false.........put on..........strained? Certainly didn't come across as naturally funny or amusing, but trying to do something that maybe should be left to Claudia?
She's always been like that, but what's she doing leading the show? The BBC announced that Claudia was the replacement for Brucie, not Tess.

I guess the beeb must have decided that Claudia does what she does best at the top of the stairs.

PS. Scott makes me want to wretch, and Judy looked like someone who'd just been dragged out the audience.

To be fair, they are probably right. Claudia's quick wit does suit talking to the contestants.

The comment I referred to earlier - Claudia was interviewing Judy about getting through to the next round, and Judy said she was glad she hadn't been in the dance-off because she'd have had to pick up that stiff wooden racquet again, and without missing a beat Claudia shot back "that's no way to talk about Anton". smile

A little surprised at the dance off two, thought it would be Judy & Scott, Greg certainly wasn't the worse dancer of the series.

Aliona didn't look disappointed to be off

The judges vote is the one that is about how good a dancer the contestant is. The public vote is about how popular they are. And Scott is popular.

I would have thought Greg would be more popular then Judy. Everyone loves Master chef and the pudding loving grocer don't they?

And let's face it, Judys effort was very wooden and she just stood there most of the time. She didn't even look very fluid hitting a tennis ball consider she is meant to coach the game.

On a different note though, lovely to see Claudia in colour and more fitted dresses than the black baggy ensemble she's normally dressed in. I'm liking Alison Hammond, she's got such natural rhythm

Not getting the love for Alison, she's just a big fat hippo.
Harsh.

I didn't expect to like her and also assumed she'd be one of the worst but actually she's a really natural dancer with far better rythmn than a lot of the others. Sadly she's also a big round ball so a lot of her moves are a bit hidden by her shape. They were scraping the barrel a bit putting her on the show in the first place as she's barely a celebrity at all.

I'm impressed by Jake, not sure I've warmed to him as a person but he's a good dancer. Pixie and Frankie are both very enjoyable to watch and very good so no doubt will be in it to the last few.

Gregg was dreadful. The worst one for me and no loss at all that he's gone. Judy is almost equally bad though and Scott is surprisingly crap for someone youngish who ought to have a good sense of rythmn and timing.

Thom Evans bores me, seems to have no personality. Steve Backshall is great, always loved him as a wildlife presenter and he just seems like a top bloke. Lucky bd gets to grind with Ola everyday too, no wonder he's smiling.

Sunetra has potential, Jennifer and Tim don't, Simon is decent and seems like an alright chap, Mark is ok but don't see him getting to the end, and Caroline is also pretty good (nice tango attitude) and she looks quite nice too which helps.

Does anyone know - do the pro's get paid the same for the series irrespective of the round they go out in?

Whenever people say a black person has natural rhythm it seems a bit... racist? Just me?
Just you thankfully.

I'm simply surprised that a big fat lady, who I've never liked on tv, with tits bigger than my head is actually a surprisingly watchable and smooth dancer.

I get where you're coming from. However, in my opinion it's not so much racist as a clichéd racial stereotype.

The elephant in the room (no pun intended) is that she is a morbidly obese black woman who does indeed dance surprisingly well.

Exactly. Just because she is of a large size (and her eating habits are her business, no one elses)doesn't make her any less worthy of a place on Strictly, or a worse dancer than a slender person.

She may be large, but she's a damn site better dancer than quite a few of the other contestants.

Lets remember the programme is Strictly come Dancing' - we're judging peoples ability to dance, not their eating habits or size of their waist bands wink

anyone can fix it by eating less and exercising more it's not rocket science.
Which she is doing by dancing, and dancing damn well. Hopefully she will inspire larger people to do the same and find an exercise they enjoy.

haha, my 26 month old said 'boobies' on Saturday when one of the female dancers bounced up the stairs after their dance.

Eat less and exercise more, it's not difficult.
You don't have to eat less, just change what you eat, I piled on the weight after an injury meant I couldn't exercise. I've lost 5 stone since January just by changing my eating habits, cutting fat off meat, fruit instead of cake, sweeteners for sugar, skimmed milk instead of full fat etc. I've got 2 more stone to go before I can start exercising again, then watch me go. wink

Wow for a large lady she can move. Keep expecting her to go into cardiac arrest though.
