I've seen it twice, once on a long-haul flight, and the second time on X-Finity On Demand in the U.S lat month (at my brother's house, my wife hadn't seen the film).

The effects were very good, but the story and progress itself, largely unbelievable. I didn't think, for example, that the Discovery crew would have remained in 1 piece but only turned green/grey in colour when the shuttle was hit by debris and de-pressurised. I thought, perhaps incorrectly, that they'd implode or explode. Maybe I was expecting too much.

They wouldn't implode or explode. That is something Hollywood often gets wrong. In this case, they were right.

I've suggested to people when asked, that they either watch in 3D on the big screen or lower expectations drastically.
