Mythbusters - The one about jumping the shark?
Discussion
It feels like they've gone back to the old format, just with fewer presenters.
There was no 'science' behind either of the builds on the show which I thought was going to be the idea of having just Adam and Jamie do the show.
The Breaking Bad gun seemed to be the order of thing the Grant/Tori/Kari team would do, unless it was just filler to make up for the failure of the main experiment.
In other news, it seems from Intragram that Tori and Kari are off filming a new show about Rollercoasters for Discovery.

The latest one wasn't much better.
The "myth" being investigated is whether or not Adam and Jamie can get a week's jolly being trained to passenger in the U2, and whether or not Adam can fulfil a boyhood dream to fly to the edge of space in the aforementioned U2. "Myth" confirmed. The end.
The other "myth", annoyingly frequently intercut with the other so that they can pad things out with recaps, is that if you hold a rapidly spinning blade to your throat, it can cut you. Also, flying drones is fun. Plus you can pad things out some more with some aerial shots done with your super-duper drone.

Just watching the late-ish (not necessarily latest) one that is the revisited Star Wars one. It was sort-of ok, apart from the fact that The Force bestows superhuman abilities on a Jedi and hence negates all of their mythbusting. They're trying to test weapons that don't exist, against superhuman abilities that they cannot define or replicate, and expecting to make some kind of rational conclusion.
Still, at least they didn't blow anything up and then yell "Awesome!!". So that's something.

True for the Jedi bits but Han Solo wasn't a Jedi iirc.Still, at least they didn't blow anything up and then yell "Awesome!!". So that's something.

True. But then again, Storm Troopers are famed for their poor aim and they didn't take that into account. Edited by JonRB on Thursday 10th September 12:46

They are from the film industry and it seams like every week they bring in a friend that is in the business and talk about their work
Maybe they've just run out of myths to bust, or are tired of busting myths, and this is the direction they want to take the show in? I agree it's a bit of a mythnomer though.
Not even remotely surprised to be honest. The latest series made no attempt to become more 'educationial' and the excuses to get rid of Kari, Tory and Grant were just that, excuses.
Plus as mentioned here already, they have basically run out of myths to bust.
Shame but it's time has come.
