Yes another film to TV series is being made, by Steven Spielberg's Amblin, who are also making the 2nd series of Fargo, Westworld and Scream TV series.

Beyond Westworld in the early 1980s was great. So was logan's run the TV series. Hope they bring that back as well.

I am a bit annoyed about these TV series being made. I really, really got into Almost Human and they went and bloody well canceled it!
There is no staying power these days. Small show of hands at some executive board and that it.

Having seen the pilot it isn't bad at all. The pilot at least manages to pull off looking like a continuation of the film.

Set ten years after the film, the whole pre-crime program is shut down and they are back to doing investigations the old way i.e. after crimes happen. Without spoiling anything important the precogs are living a quiet life after being retired, and are still having visions & this is at least part of what drives the plot along.

Not sure how well it will work as a series but I'd still recommend tracking it down to have a look.
