I only saw the last 20 mins, but that's by far the worst looking building I have ever seen on Grand Designs, by a long way!
What about security? You can cut that polycarbon stuff with a hacksaw. wouldn't take 5 mins to make a hole in the wall.
It's okay, there didn't look to me much worth nicking! What about security? You can cut that polycarbon stuff with a hacksaw. wouldn't take 5 mins to make a hole in the wall.

Grim. £1m...insane.
I can't understand why people want to live in these locations, overlooked by 30 other properties *just* to be in London. Seems like terrible value in a terrible location.
Insane cost, as above, how are some of those materials going to weather?, you might have to redo most of the outside in 20 years. Missed this - any links to the house I can take a look at? Will try and catch up on 4OD later.
Could always go for iplayer and the latest instalment of Countryfile. Mentally block out green, animals & so on, then replace with their shelter, weeing money down the pan, slightly cramped workers environment, Westwood....Then, you're there.
A few will love it, most won't.
I quite liked the finished product, and even if you didn't it is interesting at least.
I was amazed they got planning permission given the height and materials used. Looked to be blocking a lot of light from houses behind, I thought that might be why they had to dig down further.
I also really liked some of the interior spaces, especially the black wall, double height ceilings and kitchen - the furnishings and fittings were eclectic and random which looked like a naff jumble sale, but that just reflected their taste as smelly hippies

This ^^^ by some margin one of the the worst GD's I've ever seen (I think that the mad boat of a few series ago was the absolute worst - but then again it didn't cost as much as this did either). I went through the whole programme liking nothing.irocfan said:
