Only attempted, before. I thought the double jeopardy stuff had been scrapped?

My lady has a theory that Rob will die in the course of his stoma operation, thus neatly ending his story arc. I wouldn't complain...

Murder and attempted murder involve the same mens rea. If a defendant is acquitted of attempted murder, the subsequent death of the victim will not result in a new trial without new evidence as to guilt.

Having decided to initiate divorce proceedings, will Helen also decide to ask the Police to take forward her complaints against Rob?

Does anyone think Toby Fairbrother was up to something caddish in Brighton? How come Pip is suspicious? - I missed a couple of episodes over Christmas.

The juggling references made me think she suspected him of juggling women. He does seem a bit of a tt so wouldn't surprise me.

Rob turning up at Helens and sticking his foot in the door, only to then declare how he wanted to be a ''better man'' all seemed like hogwash to me. What I did enjoy though, was the woman he saw in the pub who he'd worked with previously. He was certainly put in his place. I'm surprised we haven't had more from that storyline since the verdict though.

You mean Debbie Aldridge. (Tamsin Greig.)

Yes she had his number.

I think Toby has a kid....

I can see Helen softening to Rob in some way - I hope I'm wrong, but there seems to be a leaning in that direction. However, the foot in the door thing might remind her that no matter how much he's changed, that he's speaking to the Vicar, etc - that he is the same person deep down.

As for Toby - There's something amiss there. He seemed awfully keen for her to NOT go with him and the he left in a lot of a hurry.... Grandma will indeed be on her high horse with "I told you so" for sure too - It has taken a long time for someone to tear a strip off her really.

ETA - It's a shame that Helen won't be seeing through any charges against Rob though. I see why, but it's a shame. I wonder if his time in Ambridge is limited or if there will be an acceptance of him as the year goes on - With a storyline of him getting a new girlfriend and the outside view of him manipulating her, etc.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if Helen presses charges against Rob in due course, especially as his ex-wife Jess could be brought in as a witness.

Personally i am just waiting for Susan to get her comeuppance.

How the hell she has avoided being battered to death by almost every other person in the village i will never know.

Would love to take her and Rob on a sightseeing tour of a piggery...

I wondered if Rob was going to end up as a fall guy for some of the decisions coming that relate to the estate? He was seen as being the ''very man for the job'' by Justin and there was a conversation where he warned Rob there were to be some unpopular things in the pipeline, that would have a negative impact on the village. I would have liked to see him face a rape charge myself, although I understand why he hasn't. Thus far anyway.

I must have missed that bit - I did wonder why Justin hired him.

On a tangent though - What happened to Annabelle (Justin's wife)?
