Plot twist - Jack's real father will turn out to be Liam Neeson...this will get bloody (we can only hope).

With Pat stranded at the roadside what's the chances Rob will drive past/get stopped/Tony gives chase?

I've decided that catching the Sunday omnibus on the podcast is fine as I can read this and know the excitement to catch up on.

That's pretty sad really... smile

I catch up each morning via podcast while I shave. My Mrs thinks it's hilarious.

Talk about make it obvious one of the kids was going to get snatched..in reality, how far would he get? Surely Helen would see him tramping across the muddy field to his car?

Tonights wasn't wise to listen to whilst driving - great stuff but slightly rattling, like this whole storyline has been

Kirsty - sad news.
Brian - master manipulator... very impressed how he turned Jenny from Bank attack to safe and sure...

Also sad news - Sara Coward who played Caroline Sterling has died today.

I'm caught up. To Sunday anyway - the Rob piece was excellent and I didn't see all that coming. I felt sorry for Henry though.

What next for Justin though ? I mean, apart from the stomach churning Lillian affair....

Maybe she will leave the Grundy family the house, the way some stories go these days it could happen.

Can only think of her as Caroline Bone. She and Oliver still own Grey Gables...could she leave them the farm and Will an interest in the hotel??? Caroline was - for many years - a voice of sanity (except when she was repeatedly coupled off with a wealthy landowner type).

The news of her loss came in the same broadcast as Steve Hewlett's latest piece on PM - his battle with the big C is nearing it's conclusion and listening to his voice was sobering (SH is/was the presenter on R4 of the Media Show and he has been appearing each Monday on PM with an update).

I must confess to having listened to "the Archers" for over 50 years now, off and on - my Grandma was an avid listener so I listened as a child through a sort of immersion. A little older and I vaguely followed stories, listening to Walter Gabriel's incomprehensible bucolic drivel and so on. Sins tend to come back on you though, and my wife is a devotee to the extent of spending inordinate amounts of time on various sites to keep up with other views. To be brief, though, the whole Rob thing whilst melodramatic (and that's OK because it's A STORY) has highlighted how insidious the effects of controlling men can be, and how hurtful it turns out for some of the kids.
On a lighter note to anyone reading this, see if you can find Tony Hancock's skit when he's in "The Bowmen". Enjoy!
