Mysterious drifter shows up at the filthiest, dingiest outback pub in Australia just for a glass of water. Three shot up dudes in a truck crash outside the pub, steal his car and he will stop and nothing, nothing to get it back.

It's a wonderfully dreary world in which this film is set. Everyone is so dirty. They should get an Oscar for make up when all the actors did was not shower for what looks about three months.

Lots of long shots, tension filled chords supply the majority of the soundtrack.

Very gritty. Very dirty. Very violent. Very non-Hollywood.

Worth a look.

I've seen a couple of the you tube teasers for this film, looks the kind of movie I'll enjoy.

I saw this last night and thought it was a good movie. Quite violent; it seems life is cheap in this world after the "Collapse".

It's an interesting world, it has some sci-fi tropes such as Chinese/Mandarin being more prevalent (like Blade Runner & Firefly), and its interesting to see these military patrols around and the contractors guarding trains - clearly the Outback is a real wild west kind of place. You never find out what happened in this "Collapse", and its an interesting reason as to why he's so keen to get his car back.

I have a jaded view of Robert Pattinson due to the whole Twilight saga, but he played his character quite well I thought, although I wonder if he was putting on an American southern accent because he couldn't manage an Australian one though.

Overall it was nicely shot, an interesting story and good character-driven movie. Worth a watch.

It'd be a bit odd if he had a different accent to his on screen American brother, Henry (Scoot McNairy).
