It looked fantastically cheap to produce, patently no studio audience, and Victoria Coren looked pretty bored throughout the whole thing. She did some strange links to camera which were just cringe-inducing, playing to an audience that simply wasn't there. They just died. For something in it's tenth series, it looked like a pilot gone wrong.

I've watched it a lot on BBC4 and the no audience thing does make it look very strange. She makes some crack/joke and there is no reaction, it's like she's talking to herself.

I think that's why it looks cringe-worthy, i.e. when someone makes a joke and no one laughs, so everyone feels awkward. It's the same with Only Connect, she makesa joke, no one laughs (because there's no one there to laugh) and it makes the viewer feel awkward.

Never noticed no audience , quite enjoy the programme we all watch it as a family. Don't mind her, easy to look at.

I'm more bothered that I can't answer any fking questions actually it's worse than that, I don't even fkng understand them. Might as well be a clue from 321 or dusty bin whatever it was called.

I've always enjoyed the questions but can't stand her banter, so we record the show and skip her intro, and the tedious repartee between the rounds.

There have been 366 contestants other than celebrities so far (including the six in this week's episode) which I estimate means there's a 0.2% chance that any British citizen knows somebody who has been on. I know one.

.. I think some people are missing the point of the dry / dead pan humour... I think it is suppose to be a bit "awkward" like that.. I like it, good watch and normally get a few questions right!

In recent series it has become dumbed down. Some of the teams winning the earlier ones were staggeringly clever. Now even the average pub quiz team could do reasonably well.

I'm awesome at pub quizzes. My general knowledge is very good. My local quiz we always come second. And that's because I'm the only one who fking answers any on our team.

Tonight I got 2 right fking 2 and one of those because I lived in Shropshire.

I reckon VC is rather pleasant on the eye and the mind. However I have never particularly noticed her chest before.... before I watched OC for the 1st time this week... The Mrs even commented on them !

Hehe... I think we were just both surprised as she doesn't normally put them out there like that. She does on OC and we will be watching it again !
