The internet today..
Discussion
I was reading Nev Schulman's, host of MTV's Catfish, new book. When it lead to me an interesting find about how modern social sites, have somewhat ruined the way we communicate and grasp at reality in the modern world. I think it's sad that it's easier to meet a girl on the internet nowadays, instead if running into someone on the street or in a bar.
Times have changed, and not necessarily for the best.
Check this out, it's NSFW:

Why is that bad? It's just another place to meet people. If it weren't for social media I wouldn't have met the friends I've made in Saint Petersburg and my holiday wouldn't have been anywhere near as fun.Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it'd bad.
I think you misunderstood.
More than anyone on this forum, I appreciate and understand technology.
I met my fiancée online and live half way around the world from each other.
My point isn't that it's bad, it's just different. It's taken over the world.
It's good, but it can also be very bad.

The whole online dating thing is very odd.
I have numerous friends that are on match etc. and are very open to going on dates through Match etc. yet are very shy / closed when approached by someone in a bar for example....
Hhhmm, strange behaviour but presumably they feel more in control when logging onto match to check messages and read profiles etc.

never done internet dating myself but surely it is easy to understand why some people find it more comfortable to look for potential partners online ?
