Harry's Garage - YouTube
Discussion
You cant fault the presentation, his enthusiasm or quality of the video, only the actual subject.
I am not a huge fan of the 500 although I have driven one and can see the appeal. Top marks to him for doing something a bit different and I am sure the next one will be business as usual.

Cracking video, not my type of car at all but I think I could watch Harry review any car - reminds me of old Chris Harris 2CV video. I'll admit the wait was quite a while but I can't say I'm overly bothered as when that video does finally pop up I know the quality will be right up there. One of my favourite channels on youtube!

I also thought of Monkey's 2CV video. Although I've no desire to own either, I do appreciate a cheap lightweight practical but fun car. Hopefully Gordon Murray's new project will give us a truly modern car with similar character and spirit.

Why the hate for the video?
Just not my sort of motor. For me these are such a refreshing change. As much as I enjoy Chris Harris etc the show boating on a track really doesn't mean a great deal.
I too didnt know how expensive they were on release in 1971. My '88 300 was £34k I think, the same as a contemporary 3.2 911, which sounds a lot cheaper than 1971. Though anyone know what a facelift 500 was, that being more comparable with Harry's I'd suggest?
Glad Harry also finds the roof mechanism 'interesting'!

Is it the same on your '88? I just assumed that the later cars roof would be bit less faff.
Nope, identical! But you make a good point, you'd have thought they'd of improved it, then again few cars had electric roofs so I suppose it didn't seem a pain. I don't mind it seeing it as all part of the fun, but it's a sunny day car, if it was a daily it'd be a different story!Gassing Station | TV, Film, Video Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
