In CSI, why do they always use a torch and work in near darkness? No-one puts the bloody lights on.
And in "Waking the Dead", old cold-case drama on the BBC, never had any decent lighting in the place, no wonder Trevor Eve was in a bad mood the whole time.

And, "Captain Caveman". Whenever CC had to chase someone, he wasted valuable time spinning around and shouting "Captain Caveman!!!" at the top of his voice, instead of just running after whoever it was.

Excellent point. On a similar topic Scooby Doo and Shaggy were exposed to ghosts on a regular basis which were invariably shown to be created by mirrors / masks / other trickery. Yet every episode they pretty much st themselves when confronted with said 'ghosts'

That reminds me of a similar issue...

Why when someone is in the process of transforming into a more powerful form (by whatever means), does the other party always wait around for them to complete the transformation before beginning their attack? Why not attack *before* they have finished transforming into a more powerful form?

And Jason Statham in one of the Transporter films - takes on and beats four or five guys in big fight sequence, helped by the fact that they obligingly only take him on one at a time.

Darth Vader has a different tie fighter to the others. Seeing as he is DV then his must be a better spec. However as the Empire has unlimited funds then why don't they have all the Tie fighters in the better spec?
They don't have unlimited funds though.

Also, you need to consider Cold War era Russian jet fighter thinking - they had a policy of churning out large quantities of cheap fighters rather than the American doctrine of smaller numbers of Air Superiority fighters. The Empire seemingly followed a similar philosophy.

Darth Vader's Tie Advanced was a prototype with shields and hyperdrive (neither of which a standard TIE Fighter has) and cost orders of magnitude more as a result.
Bet you wouldn't tell Darth he has a budget.

Why does Thunderbird 2 trundle all the way down that runway only to arrive at a take-off ramp? Why not just build the ramp directly outside the hangar?

Or enough time for some really cool music.

Same with Joe 90 - I bet his machine thing could fire up quickly - but no! It needs time to make a cool noise and stuff.

Im sure Ive seen it take off like a normal plane, but if not then I suppose the runway is used for landing, but then again, you can have the ramp right outside the cave.
But that would mean losing the cool palm trees

Yes, because that is the big issue with the fight scenes in the Transporter.

Not the scene where he greases himself up before the fight and then finishes by sucking the air out of french kissing a mans body underwater.

If he just got that exhaust fixed instead of asking for estimates first, he could have saved himself a Death Star.

I blame Brains for watching all those bloody Alan Titchmarsh gardening makeovers. I'm surprised there's not a water feature in TB1's pool.

Why do they yell "NCIS/CSI/NYPD FREEZE!"

When they're about thirty feet away?
It just gives the baddies time to run away!

Why not just walk up to them quietly and slap the cuffs on?
