A bit more 'drama' than action.

A poor mans Drive in some respects. Hopefully has a decent ending.

Awful ending!

Agree with above poster liek it was written by some child who had given up or run out of time.

Poor Vince, he's not cut out for all the criminality is he?
Had to laugh when his mate Colin was pulling the guy out of the boot (and knocking seven shades out of him with a cosh) and Vince says "oh, mind your head" laugh

Has Morrisey ever played an upbeat role? All I ever see is him degenerating and fighting internal demons...

Thought the taxi boss was good - his WTF in the office and doing home visits to comfort the recovering wife, very good.

So, does the nice'ish house come courtesy of her marketing job, 'cos it looks like he gets eff all as a cabby running a Honda Stream auto?

Any thoughts on the son's predicament?

(Looks like standard council house stock to me.)

I'm disappointed with this, had promise, but just seeks to lack something - originality, pace, characters you can give a stuff about.........

He played Dev's uncle in Corrie a few years back.

In real life, he was actually born in Belfast.

Slightly pedantic, but anyone from Manchester will notice this aswel;

Lots of the exterior driving shots are in Rusholme, which often show him travelling north, cutting to an interior shot, back to the exterior where he is heading south!

I can't remember which episode it was in, but when Vince was driving with Colin in the Honda, they pass heading east, then suddenly back west. That scene was filmed here (http://goo.gl/maps/gLy54)

Found it! episode 1, 44:24 then again at 44:51.

I assume that this happens in every/most TV programmes and films, but it annoys me as I know the area!

Other than that, the first episode was great, the second, not so. I found the rescue attempt from the gang lad in 'the hole' almost cringeworthy, he really needed to think what he was getting himself into by getting too involved. Surely he would've rescued the guy in the beemer, rather than his (or company's) identifiable car in full taxi livery. Although, I found his lying to the police about how he came across the injured guy in the street and the tow rope very smooth.

Until they ask which driver he was giving a tow to ... and then go and question him about where it occurred etc. Story would break down very quickly.

Random trivia.
The place where the 'body' was dumped is a huge off-road center.Whitworth quarry.

Really poor in the end, you can forgive a few things when the story is building up, but ultimately it was cop out ending.
