The black fella with the beard - Policeman, what did he used to be in? Was it Eastenders many years ago?
As said, it was DS Glase from the Bill

Danny Glaze, huge afro!

I quite enjoyed this, but it seemed very rushed towards the end. It was as if it had been written by a 12yr old who had got bored at the last bit and wanted to go play out with his mates so he just wrote "and it was all ok and they lived happily ever after"

I'm hoping it has been left open for a second series, or they have 6 episodes already and thought they would split it for some reason.

Started we'll, really poor ending.

Not as bad an ending as many recent BBC dramas.

Really average - a waste of talents...

"What did the police want?"

"I've been getting my c0ck out in Sainsburys"

- enlivened by a few good lines.

Quite surprised the police didn't just shoot him when he drove away from the crime scene - would have been a better ending him ebbing away as his son telephones to return to family life...

Yeah - agree with that, some good one liners

Its supposed to be a drama, so surely a bit of drama would be when his mate pulls out of the job at the last minute, must be scope for a few angry scenes and some "drama" - no instead we get "cut to" the inside of the car when one gangster says
"I can't believe danny left like that" ... piss weak writing in my opinion.

Plus if the whole point of the drama is good guy gets drawn in to bad crowd, get s placed in an impossible situation, his decision makes and shapes his whole family's future, it is spectacularly ill judged to leave the drama at the point when the consequences of his decisions become reality.

Was hoping that it would end with him walking into the sunset, a bag of loot tucked up his jumper, all being well with his Mrs, kids are all cool and ready for a new life in the Carribean ( a bit like the Bank Job actually ) but typical BBC ......a working class ending when he ends up with F-all and he will be looking over his shoulder for the rest of his life.
Crime doesn't pay chaps.

Stay Cool :-)

yes

By writing into the script, the dialogue about how he can't pull out of the job, the writers are acknowledging that they know that wouldn't just happen...

... and then they do exactly that.

We enjoyed that. Shame the end seemed so rushed, totally agree with previous posters that they should build on this, it would really make for some good tv.

Watched the last episode today, massively disappointing ending, was hoping for much more, its like they just couldn't be bothered. They should have told us ore about his son Tim, and shown more on his escape.

Hopefully there is a new series, should show how they are coping with their new lives, and the crooks trying to come after them.
