Helped? He had the sort of start in life 99.99% of the population will never experience.
Is that not enough of a helping hand/head start in life?
And still managed to fk everything up.
And then liied, defrauded and destroyed the lives of others out of sheer hubris because he won't accept responsibility or accept blame for his actions.
If you want to feel sad, feel sad for his wife and kids who had their lives turned upside down.
I've absolutely no sympathy for him, personally, whatsoever. I'm amazed anyone does.
This. He was disciplined previously for forging another doctors signature on a reference, had various affairs and was also involved in mortgage fraud. What sort of dad was he to his 4 children while he was either working or shagging? Whole thing was just incredible really but I feel sorry for his wife and kids.Is that not enough of a helping hand/head start in life?

What kind of surgeon was he? I wonder where he got his degree from because he was at best gullible. Chancers and brainlets like him can't be performing surgery.
I'm surprised he is not working in Investment Banking or Management Consultancy....people like him are ten a pennyRead an article on him and apparently he called himself Paddy Bond, he's the kind of guy that borrows your watch to tell you the time

It's rather sad that this guy had to swindle these frauds big time based on spending habits.
Could he had been helped earlier in life?
I can only assume this is sarcasm. The guy had every advantage in life and committed fraud in order to spaff money on expensive st nobody needs. It's part of why his downfall on the program is so satisfying. That and the fact that every interaction with the police in the program highlights the fact that the guy is clearly a total prick.Could he had been helped earlier in life?

But I wouldn't draw any conclusions from the CPS charges. They are astonishingly inconsistent and make nonsensical decisions on a regular basis.

The wife was up to her eyeballs in the fraud, she lived in the house for nearly half a year but did not notice all the stuff that had been reported stolen lying about the place.
Yep. He was on £84k a year, 4 kids in private school, rented house > £2k, mortgage same plus renovation costs and a flashy lifestyle. She wasn’t that thick.

My wife and I watched the episode last night, it beggars belief why he'd throw his entire career away (I assume that the GMC won't let him practice again) for such an elaborate scam. His arrogance certainly got the better of him, what a waste.
