Heads up there's a new series called murder case: the digital detectives tonight on channel 4:

The next generation true crime series revealing the ground-breaking police techniques used to solve murders on Britain's streets.

Seems like the case only made progress due to the lucky break with the cab driver.

Anyone noticed the shot a couple of minutes in with the Matrix code?

I thought it was dragged out to make an hour episode. There was no interesting part of the case just 4 knuckle heads who jumped in a taxi and stabbed up a rival gang member.

Not up to the usual standards of the proper series

I'm sure it would've been solved regardless bearing in mind they were singing about it on YouTube.

I was hoping it wouldn’t be the usual standard of C4 documentary. It was pretty poor really, low on content, high on moody shots of detectives gazing through windows and not much else.

I would only give it 6/10. There was something unsatisfactory about the programme which I couldn't put my finger on.

A bit too dramatised for me, switched off after 15 mins.

I thought exactly the same, they could have made a 30 minute episode and still told us all about the case, it felt more like a Channel 5 show than a Channel 4 one.

Very poor.

24 Hours in Police Custody has the feel of a ‘live’ investigation taking you through the investigation process chronologically with the clock ticking towards the 24 hour decision point. Last night’s programme felt retrospective with a lot of the footage reflecting back on events through the interviews of key officers involved in the process. Unfortunately not up to the usual standard of 24 Hours.

Horrendous reconstruction with two main characters essentially telling the story from what appeared to be the fabricated setting of a Police Station. Really was just a few Police staff with a story to tell and the production company providing the platform off the back of the success of other more popular shows such as 24hrs in Custard.

Same shots repeated 2 or 3 times and irrelevant clips of people walking up stairs or around outside to fill time amongst archived footage and interview voice recordings.

Simulated PNC and lots of props. No branding, IT asset labelling or generic 'Another meeting that could have been an email' mug next to other desk clutter found within Investigations to add any realism.

Watching Inside the Force - it was on Monday at 9, on 5.

Of the many incidents, a bloke off his face on drugs (at home) managed to stab three officers. I must say, the restraint shown by the officers was commendable. The cameras may have helped with this of course, but it must be difficult to not want to try and beat the living st out of him.

Decent case last night, agreed that it seems a bit cheap.

The visuals are the worst, is there a name/term for that sort of appearance?

Watched all three this week, actually found them quite good.
Just find it incredible the level of knife crime we now have in this country and the way they think they'll ever get away with it.

I watched the second episode last night.

The burnt-out car was a BMW 1M, but they flashed up a picture of a 2 Series to show what it would've looked like before the fire. Admittedly 99% of viewers probably wouldn't notice or care, but surely it's a basic thing to get right?
