What is the significance at the very end of Michonne keeping her sword on, instead of putting it back on the wall? Is it that she is realising that nothing is sacred and that the safety she felt at Alexandia has now gone? or is there more to it?
Yes, that. She had hung it up because it was no longer needed, they were safe.

Something irked me in the finale, when Rick found the gate open it was light out. He shut it and started running. When it cut back to him after a different scene he was still running and it was dark.
He must adhere to rule 1 (Zombieland) and do some serious cardio.
Very annoying!! Surely someone from the continuity department should have picked that up!He must adhere to rule 1 (Zombieland) and do some serious cardio.

In fact something else has irked me. The 'Wolves' were 50 miles away from Alexandria at that supermarket, so why are there so many 'W' branded walkers near Alexandria?
Er..............they walked? It has been close to 2 years since the outbreak they could have made it that far. Or they have other places?

I know the 'Wolves' could have been fairly close at some point if they move about a lot, but so many nearby walkers are branded.
So now that the season has finished and the storyline has progressed to where it has, I'm going to reference the one line that has stuck with me this season; 'It is better than the alternative'. Points for anyone who can remember who said it and in what context. Hint - it's not referencing Alexandria or the world outside the walls.
