We have to expect continuity errors in programs like this to an extent, but in a relatively uneventful episode like this, they stand out so much more.

The van scene was just.... what even.

I though it was a river below the bridge that they going to land into! Then when it flipped and landed on it's wheels, and they were you 'you okay?' 'yeah fine thanks np gg' I was speechless.

One last thing – as a collective could all surviving humans, adopting the above in part, eventually eradicate or at least dramatically reduce the number of walkers? IMO there can only ever be a finite number as they don’t reproduce the way humans do and if everyone can get together a bit better and co-operate, this would be made easier.

Whew I’m really over-thinking a TV show paperbag
I think it's a good debate.

Say that all surviving humans destroyed all current walkers. They'd then need to start repopulating to grow back humanity.

I may have missed this, but do we know of the virus is hereditary? If so, there will always be the issue of when people die, they'll come back, so that would need to be addressed at the time of any death (brain destruction).

I think really the series just shows that when faced with something like this, people would mostly throw out their morals and previous ways of civil living, and revert to a survival of the fittest mentality, because all they left to do is simply stay alive.

It is quite though-provoking though and I agree with you, I wish they'd focus more on the bigger picture rather than just the group and their daily troubles. I know that's the theme of the show but it seems they've written such a background based on the catastrophic events that hasn't been explored enough, in fact it all seemed to end when the CDC blew up seasons ago.

It's in the nature of post-apocalyptic fiction that the story becomes less about he apocalypse and more about how people function in the absence of society.

The more I think about that bit the more ridiculous is was.

I'm pretty sure their spinal cords would be busting out through their heads following a drop like that!

Just to add to the van thing.
My assumption was that it had crashed through the railings and gotten itself lodged there on the edge?
If so, why wasn't there any damage whatsoever to the front of it? Quite meaty barriers, well actually, crash barriers designed to stop just that happening, so surely the front should have sustained a fair amount of damage as opposed to looking like it had been neatly parked there?
Exactly, I work on the motorway and attend many RTCs where a car has struck the barrier. Even with minor damage to the barrier, the car always fairs far worse to the point of write off!!!

Barriers here are built to withstand a 44t HGV at an angle of imapct of 20 degress I think - they must be similar in the US, so there's no way a minivan should be able to punch through and remain intact!

I always wonder how everything is so lush and green, yet we rarely see any rain.

Maybe there has been loads but I can't think of any episodes.

I believe the virus is in all humans (as revealed at the end of season 1) and is activated upon death. How/why etc. still hasn't been explained since coming close at the CDC and Dr Jenner (and is part of what irks me overall) mad

I enjoyed this episode much more than the previous 2 mainly because Daryll and Carol are probably my favourite characters. I'm looking forward to them kicking some arse soon.
I got interrupted during the van scene and missed the fall, but I saw the way it had landed and it was indeed a WTF moment.
I quite like the lack of any apparent end game and a rambling plot as IMO it gives it more of a fly on the wall feeling.

I enjoyed this episode too.

I loved the post-apocalyptic vistas of Atlanta.

Indeed, as it started slipping off it was all set to land roof down then it miracously levelled out and landed on all 4 wheels!
HA! Was thinking the same. Goes over the edge as if it is going to land on its row and winds up on all 4's. Was odd.

Good episode but again feels like a bit of a filler. Showed us very little we didn’t already know. I was looking forward to it being the episode when she wakes in the hospital. Now looking forward to next week’s when they break in and out of the hospital.

When I saw Carol in the opening shot I though - "st another slow one" - but it wasn't a bad episode actually.

What the hell were they doing faffing around in that van though? The fall and landing was hilariously bad too.

Just watched it, felt slightly annoyed that having watched 57 episodes, starting from Atlanta on what has felt like an epic journey, Carol and Darryl just nipped back there after a quick drive.

They've literally got nowhere, despite spending quite a bit of time heading north.

Yeah I thought that too - have they just been going round in circles?

It was nice to see an actual city again, but can't help but think everything in that episode could have been compacted into the first 10 minutes of the next one

Yeah, I figured one would stay on the rear bumper while the other has a quick look bearing in mind walkers are following.

Was a good episode. Didn't see carol getting unintentionally injured. I thought it was going to be more planned but never mind. Only two more episodes of the hospital thing then back to rambling In the woods.

Not bad considering the length of time given to stuff before

I said the exact same thing to the Mrs while watching it tonight.

It's good TV but TBH for me it feels like it's dragging its arse a bit, said somewhere a few pages back after being up to speed with the novel its not as if the show doesn't have more and better IMO source material to draw on, and now seems it will take the mid series break either pre or post hospital siege/showdown it would seem which feels familiar to previous seasons.......

I don't think I'd have the will power to do it but I'm starting to think for me personally I think it's one of those shows due to the pace would be better viewing in full or half season chunks.

I said that a few weeks back after terminus.

You'd have though after 2 years on the road they'd be 100s of miles away but no. Instead of being in the florida keys and blocking off a bridge to survive they got in a car without a lot of petrol and drove to Atlanta.

I've done that twice now (last season because my wife was really sick during pregnancy so we waited until she could stomach it!), it's so much better viewed at pace.

It's going to be, what, a month from the point where somebody is going to come out of the bushes at the church, to us actually returning to that point...it feels less of a chore when you can get there in an evening or two!

Considering how interesting Terminus could have been it's odd that nothing whatsoever really came of that, but we're going to spend weeks dealing with some very odd hospital that feels nowhere near as believable or likely as Terminus.

Felt like a real filler episode to me, even more so that last week. Lots of flashbacks.
So many wtf moments, the van has been covered but when following the car did the other guys not notice? not like there is a lot of traffic.
Also, they are fighting zombies, they are defeated by door handle yet no one ever closes a door.
Did they really just go through the doors without looking? they always check carefully the rest of the time.

I know it's all made up and for dramatic effect but sometimes they have too many of these moments in a single week.

Looking forward to the next two though.
