Bloody cliff hangers - I was trying to read Rick's eyes at the end has he seen Nirvana or Hell?
Assuming were talking about last week's UK episode, with the gang arriving at Alexandria, I took it to be Rick's eyes relaxing in relief.

I thought there was the sound of kids playing, audible from behind the gates, and took that to be what made him conclude that it IS a safe haven after all....

I suspect, nay know next weeks will end on the steepest of cliffs.

I've heard it's 90 mins long too?
There's still 4 eps of season 5 to go after tonight, why would next week be 90 mins long and end on a cliff hanger?

Sorry, I mean the end of the last UK broadcast episode - I forget we record it on an odd night and typically watch it on Saturday yes he arrived at some gates after finally trusting the Gay blokes - I'm sure it was the penultimate episode of the series?

I am taking quite a lot of prescription strength co-codamol at the moment though ha ha.

It's the third episode of the second half of the series. There's the episode to be broadcast in the UK tonight and then 4 more, I think - I read something about a 90 minute episode but assumed that would be the final one of the series.

For a variety of reasons, I hadn't watched any of this series up until a week ago. I binged on 11 of them over a week and am finally now up to date! I haven't read any of the graphic novels but gather that Alexandria is quite a big storyline in them, so it's reasonable to assume we'll get at least a few episodes set there.

They have just announced the 90 minute finale though

Apparently it's so they can fit in 89 minutes of nothing happening except for people walking and talking. Maybe talking some more. Moody looks then 1 minute of action to hook everyone for another season

The trouble with TWD is that however good it seems, you know for dramatic purposes it's going to fall apart.

Finally!

Have to say that's one of the best eps of TWD ever IMO.

I think I'd actually be quite happy if that was the finale to the whole programme, yes it leaves some questions unanswered but I'm past caring if a cure can be found and I've waining interest in seeing them trudge through more filler eps with another cliffhanger at the end of this season.

I will still tune in though hehe

I haven't read the comics so I'm spoiling the story.

I wonder now Rick is the cop again if the community suffers a sudden murder, one of the townsfolk or one of Rick's gang gets deaded by death and he has to investigate, Columbo style. Perhaps the guy Glenn punched, so Glenn becomes number 1 suspect, but he isn't (or is he) and the only witness to the murder was a zombie, and Rick has to interrogate it.............I'm going way off track here I know.

Can't see much else happening if the don't open the gates.

I think the girl (Nadia?) took it. I think she goes out scavenging things.

Erin was her name.

My immediate thought was that it was her.
