The councillor woman really reminds me of The Oracle from The Matrix for some reason...
She reminds me of Captain Katherine Hepburn Janeway.
Me too. Good episode IMO.

I hope nobody heard Rick say that. Infact I hope they did so they can kill everybody and take over sooner rather than later.

They're keeping the sinister underlying plot well hidden for now. I think the girl Erin has some answers for us, she clearly has discontent with the place despite being so young and being given safety. The congress woman comes across so well so far though.

I wonder why the supports for the walls are on the outside. Doesn't that make it far more likely if walkers do attack they'd be more like to pile against them and eventually knock the supports over?

So....Coral just wandered out and his dad didn't give him any st? Did Rick just wander out? I thought forays were organised.
I assume Rick was given a level of impunity already at that point given to the fact he could clearly handle himself? I agree a bit surprising Carl wasn't questioned about sneaking out, but there was a panic attack when we went to a different house in walled community?

And why bother having a gate when the supports make perfectly useful ramps for people to walk up and get access? Not walkers perhaps but as you've said all they really need to do is lean on the wall... which presumably isn't connected to posts running well into the ground for strength if it was built by a few people with limited equipment.

Far too many moody potential conflicts being setup so quickly and now Ric has no beard he'll be powerless and have nothing to run his fingers through when he gets bored. Bad move.

Seems there might be some potential friction between Rick and the blonde bird's husband. A bit sinister him sitting on the porch , in limited light so we couldn't see his face saying "hello" to Rick.

I must also congratulate the person doing the gardening in the community, those lawns are immaculate and a credit to whomever tends them.

I wondered that. Hardly textbook fence making is it.

And this whole Alexandria thing.
mad

So you're telling me that after all the nasty people they've ever come across Rick and his family just waltz in there and roll over.
confused

Sure I'm not expecting a massive shoot up, but surely he'd want a complete tour of the facility/town before accepting anything on face value and bedding down for the night.
The electric, yes we saw solar panels, but there must be a warehouse somewhere full of people who failed the 'interview', under armed guard, on cycle machines pedalling away producing electric - there must be!!!!
The water?
It must be being filtered through living human spleens or something.
Surely???!!!

Let's not forget the people they supposedly exiled who didn't make the cut, they think they put them out to die, I suspect they are currently tucked away plotting revenge ready for season 12.

I'd be annoyed if there was a sinister side to this new group like every other group. Otherwise it's just more rehashing.

I'd be suspicious as to why no one is attacking them with that set up though. So where is their army, maybe we just havent met them all.

Although I haven't seen the latest episode (I spoilered myself on purpose) that article has some good ideas - it seems whilst the new Group are decent - they may face an so far unknown threat and the exact reason why they have taken Rick's lot in - they need stone cold killers and survivors, who haven't lost their humanity yet.

Have said this before, but after what that group have been through, I am stone cold convinced that they'd now be 'conditioned' NOT to ever trust any other outside party again.

Yet here we are again, watching them hand over their weapons freely - with no-one shouting, "Escuse me, deja-vu, anyone?"!

Didn't the 'Janeway' lookalike say the area was virtually evacuated which could explain why there has been little in the way of activity that could threaten them.

I have to admit this story direction leaves little to the imagination unless....:

1. No dead are seen for months, but a large wooden horse is left outside the gate marked as a gift.....
2. Thousands of dead line the horizon and all start to bang dustbin lids in unison as a mark of respect for Rick and his crew's efforts keeping the dead at bay
3. One of the dead is kept in solitary confinement, but people in the camp are being killed and its obvious its the captive dead person....Can Rick work out how its killing his people before it's too late?

They seem to have their priorities completely mixed up. Coral's haircut clearly should have come first.

I agree, but they were left little option - prior to this they were, starving, tired and at points hopeless.

Even if these latest people want to eat them, kill them, offer them as sacrifices or just demand total obedience they've done them a favour - they were days, if not hours away from death anyway and it seems Rick's got ideas.

I think the sinister side, is Rick's group. Which would be rather fresh.

Never thought of that - that would make it interesting!

And who could really blame them...

Thats my view of it, especially given what Rick said at the very end, that if the group is weak they'll just take over and kill them.
