He was done for arson he burnt down a derelict school.

There's a pecking order for crime and abusing children is pretty much maximum, even if they haven't actually done anything the fact there thinking about it and travel vast distances is enough.

Yup, in prisons the paedophiles are classed as the absolute lowest of the low. Even the "regular" sex offenders are held in higher regard. I'm guessing his time in prisons made him aware of this and that's why he started doing what he does.
