Excellent, great series, as a 'detectorist' myself I can identify with a lot of it.

That's great news. I recently watched the whole first series again back to back on a flight to India.

It's lovely, gentle humour that we Brits do so well.

I am hoping the same, though from Mackenzie Crooks point of view he may prefer it moves!

Missed this first time round and caught it all on BBC4 last week. What a charming little series. Great characters, well written and my kind of subtle humour. Particularly liked the fundraiser day.

Looking forward to series 2.

That was very good. And music by Johnny Flynn who starred in the other esoteric series on Channel 4 also worth a watch Scrotal recall.

Sorry, I hadn't seen it before and was stuck in a hotel this week so watched the first series on iPlayer and went to see if it was mentioned here.

I discovered this show last week and watched the six episodes of series one. I really enjoyed its gentle humour and I'm delighted that it has returned for a new season.

I like that it is on BBC4, takes the pressure trying to write for the masses.

It's very quaint, gentle and amusing. Having only discovered it two weeks ago, I'm delighted the second series is here smile

Ha - Diana Rigg playing her daughter's mother, too (mirroring real life).

Brilliant casting.

I didn't know that she was Diana Rigg's daughter until I read an article recently. Here mannerisms and facial expressions certainly mirror her mother's. WHich, is a very good thing, IMO.
