It replicates the book closely, Rosamund Pike is the star in this, odd ending in the book and film.

So this is a film now? I had no idea. I enjoyed the book and will look out for the screen version.

Absolutely superb book, so it's good to hear the film does it justice. Looking forward to seeing this one.

Yes it was out last night. As mentioned, Rosamund Pike is absolutely spellbinding in it. I've not read the book either, and deliberately stayed away from any spoilers or publicity.

Looking forward to seeing this but one quick question.

The book was great but I didn't really think it was that violent. Is there any particular reason (in a non spoiler way) that its an 18?

Can't think of anything in the film that is too bad, perhaps it's seeing the violence/blood that makes it an 18, although i don't remember it being overly graphic.

Watched this yesterday afternoon; very good film.

I won't say too much about the plot beyond the only slightly surprising thing was the ending.

Very well acted/directed/produced/filmed.

Also includes a brief shot of one of the most amazing pair of breasts I've had the pleasure to see on the big screen biggrin

18 certificate due to one scene of violence and extended use of bad language according to Kermode on R5.

It's an 18 because of the sexual violence.

I saw this last night and it's excellent, I knew nothing about the story and to say it's dark is an understatement.

I have indeed... and absolutely loved it. Including another amazing pair - but only saw those on the 'small screen'

Great film. It's a long one, and I did hear someone say 'well that was ste' as they stood up at the end, but I loved it.

"You do know that I will never hurt you?"

Cool, was a brilliant book, had no idea that they had made a film from it. If it follows the book I can't see me being disappointed, although I'm sulking because I can remember how the book ends so it's going to spoil the film a bit for me.

I watched this this afternoon - without having read the book. Absolutely loved it.
Mrs Me had read the book - and also enjoyed it.

Likewise, saw it tonight and thought it was very good. I knew nothing going in of the story or plot, and had never heard of the book.

So it succeeded in making an impact / creating an impression.

And yes, Rosamund Pike put in an exceptional performance.

Having never read the book, I had only seen the trailer for this, even seeing that did not prepare for this film, very good & went a way I didn't expect.

I heard the film has a different ending to the book. Can anyone confirm if this is true?

If so can anyone pm me the book ending, it be interested to see which way it was originally ended.

Saw it over the weekend - best film I've seen in the cinema for a very long time.

The friend I went with has read the book - he thought the plot of both was identical.
