GHOSTBUSTERS 3
Discussion
Its fking ruined. I hope they all die a horrible agonising death for running a utterly classic timeless brand. I'm utterly obsessed with ghostbusters I've watch it thousands of times. I know every word. I know everything about the film. I scored full points whrn it was on mastermind. I wanted to be a ghostbuster as a kid. I dressed up and had a proton pack etc

Great, they've got the token 'funny' fat bird in it. Never expected that!
The thing is - this uniform seems to accentuate her frumpiness (intentionally I think). Dan Akroyd wasn't exactly slim in the first one - but his jump suit didn't seem to accentuate his weight in the way this one does on Melissa McCarthy.Could be the first indicator that the predicted "fat bird gags" will actually be present

There is no new Ghostbusters.
There is no new Ghostbusters.
There is no new Ghostbusters.
It's soooooooooo frustrating. They had the perfect opportunity to make this an absolutely awesome film. The remaining living actors couldve handed it over to their kids who had been involved for years, a newer modern ecto 1(b), with all the bells and whistles a modern set up could have and carried on as a new franchise with old under pinnings. There is no new Ghostbusters.
There is no new Ghostbusters.
Couldve been so much better than the st that is going to get dumped in cinemas next year.

In the meeting where they were discussing the script did no-one have the minerals to say this is st?
Nope it just looks like they had a political correctness meeting instead, picked women and made sure there was a good cross section. Many many boxes ticked, early lunch for everyone! It looks like the BBC picked the cast.I've said it before., no doubt I'll say it again. We already have the entire cast of a new Ghostbusters movie, they star in a show called the Big Bang Theory, they are geeky, funny and you could easily make a story link and have enough of a twist to keep people interested.

I was genuinely ready to give this a go, I really was, despite everything...
But no. Just no.
Dear god. Did they actually set out with the agenda of making it look like some kind of half-arsed little England village fete attempt at recreating the original? But no. Just no.
This is more like it.....

I guess part of the problem is the original was just that.
Fast forward thirty years and the brand has now become so well known even outside the context of the movie, appearing as Lego, on kids quilt covers, birthday cakes....you name, the little Casper logo is as widespread as the Coca-cola wavey line and Mickey Mouse's ears in silhouette.
The "new" Ghostbusters just look like yet another bit of merchandising.
