Storage Hunters UK
Discussion
Well last nights episode wasn't so bad. A few things however, the booooooooooom guy won the pest control bin, he says the custom suits are worth £500 each, sorry but the protective suit you can have for £5, the mask £25, the waders £100 tops, the gloves £10. And that's new.
The cages £6.99 new.
The thing is as well, no one is going to buy this gear used for a living. oh then what kind of exterminator would leave a dead mice in the cage in his own storage locker, surely it would be mush by now if he hadn't paid his fees.
the there was the guy who spent £3k on essentially a few chairs and a coffee machine. At tops £300-400.

Do you think it may not be 100% realistic?
Really?Well of course it isn't, it's on the telly!
I work in a self storage warehouse in the UK and while I believe auctions may be legal in California where Barry and Co are (and I like the original group) I don't think they are in Texas or NY, so they are surely fake!
It certainly is not legal in the UK, we are obliged to compile an inventory of whatever is in a defaulted unit and sell it for the best achievable price to offset against the outstanding debt so we can give any balance to our debtor (so we are usually due a few hundred quid and may recover 50p plus a load of cr*p to take to the tip, at a price).
If only we could shift it all to an enthusiastic bidder - but hey, why should real life intrude upon a "reality" show - never has before!
Seriuosly if you had anything of value surely you would pay the rent
