Jimmy's 'banter' might have been acceptable in the chirpy cockney/Essex lads football cahanging room environment but I found it TOTALLY disrespectful, abusive and bullying. I'm glad Jake didn't try to out banter him because he would have never won. Saying that he could have come back with the fact that he will be the one who gets the most offers when he leaves the jungle and has the rest of his life ahead of him...the world will be his oyster. Jimmy however, will be a washed up ex footballer with nothing but a few pro/celebrity golf matched to look forward too. For the record....if he spoke to me like that I'd have flattened him! wink
it was pretty clear to me that Bullard was being a bit nasty and then tried to disguise it as 'banter'.

Its interesting that many head teachers are now treating claims of 'just bantz' as just another form of bullying.

Jimmy Bullard is a completely weak character, that probably uses comedy to deflect bullying himself, and many people that are bullied often become bullies themselves as a defence.

He's also a third rate footballer that only did this show because he needs the money desperately. He's hardly a success. Don't think he ever won anything in his footballing career. Player of the month once....

There is a line between banter and simply being unpleasant. JB was firmly in the latter camp with his swipes at Jake and displayed a deeply unpleasant side to his personality. (For the record, being a permanently injured, 2nd rate journeyman in the top flight of football doesn't even come close to Foggy's achievements)
With you on this mate.

JB is a crap person .

Foggy has done it all.

I totally agree smile

It simply wasn't and isn't banter! It shows a desperately weak or nasty underbelly that remains hidden by his (IMO) false joviality - there is no doubt he likes a good laugh but on many occasions, especiallya s time moves on, he appears to be forcing it most of the time.

Foggy OTOH has nothing to prove and I think it shows.... smile

When he lost against that X Factor chap, he was absolutely gutted - but still took it on the chin and congratulated him. And then he lost to him again and what did he do? Yep, congratulated him again and took it on the chin! smile

Although to be fair to Dullard, (Sorry, I know that is probably not funny and in fact annoying but I cannot help myself) he doesn't really have much choice but to attempt to be magnanimous in defeat; a role he doesn't manage too well.

I would so love to see him first out! How the hell would he 'spin' that one - imagine the 'banter' afterwards smile

JB has spent his career minor league in a sport with some rather gifted peoples. I wonder if part of him knows he's a b lister compared to Foggy. Living in the shadow of a great and picking on someone you see as lower than you is the stamp of an insecure bully. He would not dream of doing it to the other males. Tinchy would diss him, MB is in another ballpark of intelligence. He picked on the only one that he could and showed what a pathetic creature he is. Ugly on the inside.

When Jake originally went in i'll admit it and say i thought he was bit of a bell end. I dont even know why as i had hardly seen him on tv let alone knew him. It was at the same time i thought Jimmy was a proper jack the lad and really likeable and a dead cert to make the final if not win the whole thing.

Fast forward to now and my opinion has fliiped 180. Jake seems like a really likeable genuine kinda guy. The way he handled Jimmy's 'bantz' was also admirable. He could easily have escalated it more. Jimmy on the other hand i now see as a complete asshole.

I actually hope that Jake wins the whole thing.

I'd be happy with that. Although, out of the three of them it wouldn't really matter which one of the won it.

J&J was right.

We didn't see what went on before the Bullard banter against Jake. Turns out he was returning fire.

How do you work that out? If you're talking about what was said in his exit interview, then we saw that footage in the show.

So that's 99% of the entertainment factor lost from the programme - with Ant & Dec providing the remaining 1%.

Wouldn't be surprised if there was a noticeable dip in viewing figures as a result also.

On the other hand it might be more interesting now the bullying egotistical little s^^t has gone. I knew kids like that at school, wannabe bullies with big intimidating mouths, then when you called their bluff or got the better of them they pretended it was just a bit of fun.

If you remove the one particular incident with Jake - where yes, Jimmy did go too far - then you are left with a surprisingly refreshing character to watch given the usual drivel seen on modern reality shows.

Foggy showing his softer side. As you say, never would have seen that coming.

So, Nadia (who?) got voted out tonight. No great surprise.

Ant and Dec continual corpsing was hilarious though.
