Just watched last weekend's episode, another cracking programme!
OT but does anyone know what t-shirt Guy has on? Tried googling based on the writing on the front but no results. I'm asking as its exactly the sort of thing a mate of mine would love to wear!

The noise of that bike reminds me of the old Ghostrider vids when he had the 499bhp turbo 'busa.
listen to this when it revs at about 18 secs, as for the rest of the video, bloke is certifiable.

Another very enjoyable episode throughout with a lot of effort and enthusiasm again. Good stuff.
It was about time that Pikes Peak made another appearance on UK TV.
The sound of the bike when it was started it in the garage was certainly something.
What were the cause of the problems on the mountain? Struggling with mapping of air:fuel ratios in different air pressures/oxygen concentration, turbo boost control, ignition timing or just a mechanical fuel starvation issue as suggested?
-Surely some mapping on a decent dyno setup could have simulated it? Or would that have blown the budget?
I'd definitely fancy a go at riding or driving up Pikes Peak at speed, although from experience, driving up unfenced mountain roads like that can be a bit necky and the edge can feel very close if you get it a bit out of shape!

Sounds like they needed to get someone to do the EMS cal who actually understands how and engine works............
^^ This. I think he could have spent a bit more time prepping the bike properly instead of demonstrating how tyres roll downhill, I thought that bit was a bit poor TBH.as was his exhaust...

as was his exhaust...
The tyre down hill bit was presumably just showing what a 10% slope was like. I doubt that they spent much time filming that. He was there to have a go up the hill anyway, don't forgetas was his exhaust...
