I was a bit disappointed that all of the EPIC farting was cut out (bear in mind that all sound resonated inside the tandem like an acoustic guitar). Also the interview we did with James Cracknell was interesting, although it was a sobering "if you guys aren't careful you might come to a sticky end" straight-faced bit that wouldn't really have fit in with the rest of the comedy sketches that we did wink

Nice one Jason, a thoroughly enjoyable hour of TV. Rather you than me sat down peddalling for that long!

Guy's TV progs are great, it must have been awesome to have been involved. He definitely comes across as the sort of bloke you'd love to have a pint (of tea) with.

Hadn't considered the farting, assumed the piss would make it stink as it was, bet it was proper ripe in there.

The designer chap getting frustrated at you 2 going mental was amusing, what else did he expect smile

then there were puddles of Guy's favourite homemade broth. God knows what Tim was putting in it - pig's aholes or something. Guy's farts and the broth smelled the same after a while.

Still the best thing I've ever done though, by a mile.

I think the science side helps make the programme interesting.

That and Guy obviously being a loony.

I was actually at goodwood over the weekend, I was wondering which "splatter trail" was left behind by Guy in the pits ??

What I was amazed at is Guy had 5kg of fat! There is nothing of him! They would have a heart attack if they saw me...

The jump was almost 8000ft higher. But you're right, nobdody noticed.
I did a bloke who works for google is about the only bit I remember.
If ever there was a need for a comma in that sentence! Unless rohypnol was used and that is why you couldn't remember doing the bloke from google?

As for the programme, it was a fantastic effort by all. I don't think it will be long though before it is used as a benchmark for others to expand on. I can see plenty of improvements, for one...using a proper Lycra suit with a fitted catheter to avoid the incidental peeing. The seats could have been better made and probably if they had taken a laser model would have fitted like a glove.

Quicker fitting wheels would have been a bonus, as would have been a jack to avoid them getting in and out of the buggy.

Just idly thinking - I wonder if the 'legit' record bars anyone using pacers - or team members taking point duty to punch a whole in the air (like regular cycling packs in the TdF etc) whilst the tandem fellas just grind away behind for the 24 hours.

Obviously you'd need quite a team. But maybe Wiggins + Froome + others would like it as a bit of training?

Thoroughly enjoyable show. Got the mixture just right, as in a mix of science, engineering banter etc. Can't wait for this weeks.

I did wonder what a couple of "serious elite" cyclists would do with such a challenge, but seeing two indecently fit more regular guys going for it was pretty inspirational.

Cracking work from all those involved beer

I have just finished watching this. I have to say it was an epic achievement. You managed, in 24 hours, what I have taken ALL of 2014 to achieve so far (Endomondo says I'm at 544 now - I did a few rides with the kids this half term). I love the mixture of science/technology and the human struggle. It was utterly brilliant. Hats off to the pedallers AND the team. clap
