Bloody awsome film. Don't bother waiting till the end of the credits there's nothing apart from the avengers will return sign.

I agree awesome film, lots going on, lots of laughs.

There is a scene after the main character credits but not after the scrolling credits.

Loved it. Very good film, doesn't take itself too seriously. The dialogue is just fantastic, even better than the last efforts. Probably one of the best of the films of this type.
Spader...sublime....#I've got no strings...#

Question
SHIELD is fked...where did that helicarrier come from?
Also, I did post this in the Agents of SHIELD thread
http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
I am a little irked by that, it sort of really separates the two storylines.

ALso...it's a bit of a shame that the current line-up seems defunct...but I guess the Avengers format was always like that...wonder what is next...

its the helicarrier from the first avengers film, the ones in winter soldier where different, also shield isn't fked in the US AoS their are actually 2 shields (or were, coulsons is pretty much defunct now, the one that the general/admiral I cant remember his name runs as a democracy is the shield its big and has got lots of gear, its likely that the helicarrier that was damage in the first avengers film went into one of starks facilities for fixing and was then mothballed somewhere only fury knew about

Are we posting behind spoiler tags or is this thread now out of bounds for anyone who hasn't seen it yet? (like me!)

Just watched it. Absolutely brilliant.

Lots of comedy, action and character development. If the first Avengers was 10/10 this is a solid 9.5, quite an achievement.

Amazing. Went to see it last night at Midnight, totally worth how tired i am at work today. I wasn't a fan of the First Avengers film the time i saw it but Age of Ultron was so much better.

I am up to date with the C4 screened episodes of AoS, and I've seen Civil war.
I've seen an episode (the last one) where Admiral Adama is running a secret secret SHIELD behind Coulson's back.
If the helicarrier is from the first one, how come it wasn't confiscated by the US government after the events of Winter Soldier when SHIELD effectively ceased to exist? Which is what I meant, Fury turns up with that, and the crew to run it, from where? Other than that...the discrepancies between AoS and the films, I loved it.
Though I do think the new Avengers line-up sucks compared to the original. biggrin
I suppose the camp at the end if a private enterprise STark funded...or a government sponsored Avengers initiative with ex-SHIELD tech guys.

episode 18/19/20 of AoS seem to line up with the film, episode 18 has mention of strucker and hydra, channel 4 is only upto episode 15 (tomorrows). The official US release date of Age of Ultron is 1st may so perhaps I was premature going to see it if I wanted it to line up perfectly with the series.

i was baffled by the appearance of the helicarrier too but it was defonately the old model, the number of secret bases that fury seems to have in AoS makes me think that it was just off the books somewhere, the guy in the suit and not many people on the bridge makes me think that it didnt have that many crew

Went last night, IMAX 3D...

Every bit as good as I'd hoped for. Great action, lots of laughs.

Don't know how much the 3D added, but it certainly didn't detract in anyway.

Got a couple of posters that they were handing out too. Which is nice.

Watched it last night in IMAX too, amazing better than the first for sure. Surprisingly funny and getting to know the characters a little better in their personal lives was genius. 9/10

I took my three sons to watch it yesterday, and I found it really quite boring.

I absolutely loved Avengers Assemble, but this just seemed tired and in my opinion was just a rehash of the original with robot soldiers replacing alien soldiers.

Not impressed at all.

I really enjoyed it last night(more so than the rubber-like cheese on my snacks!)
James Spader was seriously creepy as Ultron,I reckon him just saying "Hello" would cause people to wet themselves smile
