Attenborough was the first one to bring meerkats to the attention of the wider world, with a one off programme years ago, Meerkats United. I bet he wishes he'd patented them!

Evolutionary cock up I think. I can't believe building a nest on the grass and fending off some egg/chick eaters for a few weeks is a worse option than throwing yourself off that cliff after 2 days of life. Especially since geese can be pretty aggressive. It would be a brave arctic fox that messed with an angry goose.
