I like Miranda and so does my wife.

I also like Not Going Out, although they need to bring back Tim Vine. And Miranda.

Actually Miranda is educational.

Every time I watch it I think "that's taught me a lesson"........

I don't like to admit it, but I quite like it....paperbag

Houses across the UK are soon to fall silent as the laughter drains away in the wake of Miranda's demise.

The 41 year old tells the BBC she has 'tortured the populace enough over the years and with the show at such an all time low it's about time it was put out of its misery like a lame, flea ridden nag found stumbling around the beach.'

I may have paraphrased a little there, but you get the gist.

Here's to Miranda in light of what must be a wise decision... beer
Absolutely spot on. Utter, utter ste. Like a really bad seventies sitcom. Only worse.

Check out the 15 minute pilot of Otherworld (from the team behind Mongrels). It's worth it for the NSFW song at the end which had me in stitches. It's available on iPlayer for another 22 days.

Miranda takes the piss out of itself - not everyone can see it I guess, Not Going Out has been one of the funniest sitcoms of recent years, without Tim it's not as good but it still has enough mirth to keep one liner fans happy. Try getting a ticket for Lee Macks tour!

Sadly I suspect Mongrels has gone the way of other fine BBC programmes like 'Ripper Street' being too hard / expensive / difficult to make.

Anyway knock yourself out Dave: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qUNFnjmP4o

It had run its course, but I did like it.
The show was simply brain-out entertainment which is a good and rare thing. It didn't try to wow us with beautiful, sole-full, sophisticated, deep and edgy characters.

It was silly and unrealistic with pratfalls and childish faux-pas. People can get too serious about comedy.

I have yet to meet anyone who finds it funny.

As for Miranda, i didn't find it funny, but I guess I could see why others did.

My sister raved about how good Miranda was - which is exactly why I never watched it.

My 13 year old daughter loves Miranda and will be devastated by this news.

We saw her live show at the O2 earlier this year. My wife and daughter and the several thousand other women in the audience seemed to think she was hilarious - my son and I found her mildly amusing.

It was a load of crap, but had it's success because 'comedy' tends to pander to idiots these days. Not being short of a few in this country, it's success was practically assured.
