Yes very close, felt sorry for Mark as he had produced good food up until that dessert.

Tough call. Still not convinced by silly hair.
Could be a new Heston in the making?
There's a long way to go before he gets to that level, however he makes far better tele than the others, and the food is good enough

He reminds me of Michael O'Hare, both in appearance and approach to cooking.

Ah, creme anglaise! If it helps, it's OK to ask for a burnt cream instead of a creme brulee - there are stories that it's actually an English recipe, not French (something to do with Kings College, Cambridge rings a bell).

Wonder when they are going to do a dish in a 6star dish in a closed to public restaurant (so they wont loose the stars) pretentious arty chef.

This may be harsh but I cringe everytime Greg talks to a female contestant. Can't help it.

Everytime I hear the mention of Brenton, I visualize a dog chasing deer in Richmond park.

His reactions today are making me think they ought to shut him in a cupboard for the early heats so he's not all grumpy about all the strugglers early on, and then let him out at this point so he can get excited about the great stuff… Monica's no less demanding standards wise but she's a hell of a lot gentler about it!
