I have to agree.

Some of it was weird for the sake of being weird.

I got the impression that thats how Brian felt about it all when he arrived as well.

A little bit cultish that place. hehe

On this showing Sven is going to walk it.
I'm not so sure I've got a feeling he could go a bit weird in the final and try something strange that pasta egg mouse creation wasn't a winning dish.

Bit of smoked Cod throat would be a winner I'm sure.

It struck me as a bit of a ripoff of El Bulli - which truly mastered the art of bourgeois poncy dining. When I went there the first course consisted of the waiter coming over to the table and wafting a rose under your nose. I st you not.

Not for me either as you can probably tell from my first post, it came across as the epitome of over pretentiousness, although the dish served in the mortar and pestle did look rather interesting.

This whole freezing to -14c before been placed in a water bath at 63c for 48hrs and then cooked over smoking bark is all just a bit too much for me.

The other standout course for me at El Bulli - served simulataneously to everyone in the restaurant - was a giant plate containing a single strand of spaghetti. The waiter's words were "the chef recommends you eat it sucking".

Cue a whole restaurant of people who had paid well over £300 a head slurping down a single spaghetti into their mouths like 5 year old kids. I found the whole experience frankly laughable.

Yes - I think anyone who follows the restaurant scene knows that. I went in 2003

If Sven is everyone's favourite for the win, let's hope there's no implosions like last years favourite.

Can't remember his name but he was faultless all series and then ballsed up the final completely.

MRJ was dumbfounded.

Adam Handling - he is the bloke everyone remembers from last year as the actual winner was a poor second until Adam blew it.

I prefer Jamie's style and dishes, doesn't mean he will win though.

Between him and Sven.
