A worthy winner.

Would've been my choice.

Bad show, but just like last year, it doesn't matter how much you dominate throughout the competition, it's down to whoever the judges shout about more in the final.

Well done and deserved.

Surprised to see people get wound up about a cooking programme, arguing against the quality of the food and insulting the contestants.

Watching through a TV you've no idea how good the food is.

Is this a completely different meaning of dominate to the regular one?

Because he didn't.

Good decision I think Sven thought he had won that before the final but Jamie always delivered on flavour (I guess) he nailed that final fair play.

No, this is the regular understanding of dominate where Sven was clearly the better chef throughout the competition. I think if Sven hadn't cooked a fish main, we'd have a different result.

Taking all that opinion as fact would mean that you don't know the meaning of or how to correctly use the word dominate.

Because he didn't. (except the chefs table)

I don't think that makes any difference in Masterchef it's not about the competition as a whole that's why they take them to professional kitchens to improve them for the final, they develop over the competition.

You may have been watching a different program, but the fact you remember the sweaty going to bits in the chefs table event suggests we watched the same one.

What's with all the abuse towards Jamie?

Did a cooking programme really stir you up that much?

Have a little word with yourself.

Is 'sweaty' really a term of abuse? I'm disappointed for Sven, but I'm sure he'll live. I should have predicted the sensitive Sallies and the PC brigade getting their backs up, they've got to be offended about something.

I guess "sweaty" and "fat git" might be construed as being abusive....who knows.....?

Anyhow - for me Sven had that slight "I've won it!!!" grin playing on his lips for most of last night's show - what with his "offerings" from HIS ALLOTMENT and serving up something called a "pinched nose" he had the whole quirky Scandinavian thing down to a tee, including the name.

I laughed when the bloke who served up doughnuts, fish soup, steak and cheesecake walked off with the title.

Exactly. Was looking a bit smug, as if he had it in the bag. While his food might have been technically good, it didn't look half as appetising as Jamie's IMO.

All three served up excellent scran. Proper posh food without being overly poncy.

For me the classic moment was Monica insisting she'd win a punch up with Greg.

As was her comment to Marcus on the new show being a lot easier to make than imagined. hehe

What's this fetish for 'burnt' bits? Is it this years 'foam'?
