Fekin' sick of films that have post credit scenes. Lost count of the amount of times I've been the only tt left in the cinema with the cleaners getting impatient, only to find there was no scene.

I enjoyed the film, just back from seeing it with my 12 year old, and this time I didn't wait for the credits to finish.

They should print on the ticket, whether the film has a post-credits scene or not.

Went to see it lastnight, and it was better than I expected it to be. Not T1 or T2 good, but better than T3 or Salvation.

Bits of it are questions that won't get answers until the sequels, so it's meant to confuse and leave things open. Who sent 'Pops' Arnie back to protect young Sarah Connor before 1984? and who sent the 1984 T-1000?.

You went to see it TWICE?

Holy, moly! I watched it last Thu. I was confused on the seeming to'ing and fro'ing, and the "WHY/HOW" in the spoilers, above.

I wouldn't pay to see it a 2nd time and it was only €7.50 last week in 3D.

Overall: 6/10
one of the joys of the cineworld card I guess biggrin
it was only because my mate wanted to see it and couldn't make it on the Friday. Usually like to see films with plots like that twice to understand them a bit better as I usually miss something first time around spin

I watched T2 on Saturday night for the first time in a while, I had forgotten how brilliant it was. I had a couple of glasses of wine..ok, a bottle drunk, but every time I watch it, I'm a little bit older and appreciate something else I'd not noticed before.

Linda Hamilton is superb in this film, just brilliant, the scene where she see's Arnie for the first time coming out the lift, given what she had gone through in T1, it's superb.

The whole film has aged very well too.

So I'm going to have to watch this, but it's with a heavy heart. spin

You know there's a sequel on the way right? hehe

I agree. Ive watched the new film, its good but I cant quite believe Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor.

I know she is from game of thrones and she has probably put her considerable chest to work in that but as Sarah Connor, she has too much of a girl band type look. Her wisecracks and "attitude" throughout the film was slightly annoying.

I pity the youths and hipsters in the cinema who had not been around to see T1 and T2.

I remember watching t2 at home in a copy vhs aged ten. I cried my eyes out when Arnie lowered himself into the molten lava at the end. Sorry for no spoilers but the films over 29 years old

Although it's a great film I have though that it's just slightly too "clean" and slick as opposed to the gritty film-noir of the original. Surprising how well the T-1000 effects hold up, although the bit that always bugs me is when the bike jumps into the storm drain with the world's most obvious stunt doube on board!

If only they hadn't made it slow motion biggrin

There's quite a few goofs like you can see the smoke pipes for the effect when the biker is thrown onto the cooker in the bar and the pyrotechnic charges going off fractionally before the truck hits the walls in the storm drain chase.

Still one of my faves though.

The plot has so many twists in it with mother, father and son all turning up together, the son being older than the parents and so many time zones and sub plots it kind of lost me, so I just sat and watched it for what it was.
The scene with the MRI scanner was very good, turning up at a tourist spot, turning a rusty wheel (that no-one else had thought of using) to get into a fully stocked weapons store wasn't great - as was having your choice of getaway vehicles and choosing a bus....
I didn't go to watch it expecting much more so it was a good way to kill a couple of hours, Arnie's getting a bit old now though.

Just what I thought - Saw it as a young teen and just felt it was a "kids film" compared to T1. The whole John Connor getting the terminator to stand on one leg crap.....should have just shot the kid in the head at that point.

I think that because he didn't shoot the kid in the head was the point of that scene...

Not sure how shooting John Connor would fit in with the whole "protect John Connor" mission either.

After watching terminator 3 I was expecting this to be average. Having seeing it just now I have to say it was brilliant. It's not perfect by any means (far too many comedic moments) but I throughly enjoyed it. Terminator fans will get a big kick out of it.

hahahahha.

I think the fact it is so confusing makes it more fun as you are pretty much given two fingers by Genisys whenever you try and work it out. Basically, like the characters, you just have to get on with it!

Another fan here, prepared for it to be poor, but really enjoyed, although I don't think Emilia Clarke was the best choice, would have preferred Emily Blunt who pulled off the tough act in Edge of Tomorrow.

I was sceptical thinking that yet another Terminator film was stretching it too far but against my better judgement got roped into watching this at the weekend and I had far more fun then I thought I would.

Sure the plot was pure nonsensical gobbledy-gook with "logic" that would send Stephen Hawkins loopy if you tried to follow it but the action was top notch, I loved the way they interwove it with bits from T1 and it was great to see Arnie back in action. The humour was spot on too with many classic Arnie one liners and self referential send ups. My only disappointment is that it's very clear that Arnie is well past his prime and I just can't see who can realistically replace him.

My only other small complaint might be with Emilia Clarke, sure she is very pretty to look at but I just thought she was a bit too lightweight and not tough enough to play Sarah Connor.

Other than I had a right blast and for any Terminator\Arnie fans I'd highly recommend it.

I didn't regret paying to see it but I didn't think it was that great either. I'm still not sure I understood the story and didn't think it added an awful lot to the Terminator universe. It was more like they took all the existing stories, put them in a box and shook it up before drawing things at random. Hmm what do we have first? Ah T1000. And next? 1984. Right lets do that.
