Now I prefer Sky coverage to that from the BBC
yes The Sky coverage is more in-depth, doesn't need to stop to go to another programme if something interesting occurs, Ted's notebook is great, love Martin's commentary (his grid walks not so much), Jonnie and Damon are good, like Ant's skypad thingy, Simon is getting less annoying as he matures into the role.

I haven't watched the BBC coverage for months.

On another note, yet another crap thread by robinessex. If there was an annual championship of crap threads, surely you'd win this year as this thread is definitely a double-pointer!

It gets worse the bloody BBC has been totally replaced by ITV3! Just switched on and I'm bombarded with adverts and st TV, is this what the hell I pay my licence fee for? Sell outs, utter sell outs.

Oh wait I pressed the wrong button.. but still the bloody BBC what next eh? Actually I had a dream about the BBC last night and it was not a good dream I can tell you, if this is what I pay my licence fee for I despair. I've had a similar dream before so it's effectively a bloody repeat, typical.

Worth remembering that if you DONT see the race live, avoid all bbc feeds. The "if you dont want to see the result, lookaway now" does not apply with F1 on the bbc.

Great thread could only be better if the original post was a proper rant.

Sorted that for you. Everything about Sky coverage is knuckledragging crap apart from MB. F1 was best served with the balance the BBC had (MB main commentator with DC as pundit, TK in the pit) before FOM decided to hedge their bets. Now there is a scattering of quality and st between both channels, and while Sky have the jewel he's surrounded by utter dross whereas BBC have a balance of mediocrity.

Wot he said. Sky seems just too, well not sure I have the right words, but kiddie-fied and dumbed down. At least the Beeb understands nuance and the fun of F1. Only Ted and MB get this.

Brilliant thread! biggrin

I love the BBC haters - Everything is brilliant on Sky or better still Boxset... It's such a shame you can't get the whole 2015 F1 series on Boxset yet, it's all because the BBC insist on not showing the races live, you know!!! biggrin

That's hilarious. Especially since I don't watch any of that stuff on TV either. Though I did just see the whole of the BBC 1972 War and Peace - on box-set.
