Saw it lastnight, thought it was awesome, fitted in very well with the original. Great story from the point of view of it was a simple concept well done.

As the for the person who 'walked out' I think he means 'switched off the pirate version he downloaded part way through'

Who pays £15 then walks out...
There is a new cinema in Cardiff called Premiere, opened in the old Odeon which has been shut for 15 years. Tickets are £4 all day everyday. They also have a loyaky card where your 5th ticket is free and do the 2 for 1 meerkat thing. There's a few around the country.

Within a month, the Vue in Cardiff town centre dropped its prices to exactly the same! Could be hope yet, as a regular cinema ticket is now getting prohibitively expensive.

I was £9 in club card vouchers, then a fking £1 in booking fees, I don't mind the £1 but don't fling it in there at the last minute.

I think if I'd went full price id have been £16 up where I am so not too bad.

3D you need a lottery win.

I only started going again because of the Meercat thing.

Mind you the dad with 2 tubby kids who between them munched through an entire week of groceries, by groceries I mean giant bags of crisps and multi cans of coke, might put me off going at night ever again.

They were louder than the bloody raptors.

Can't people get through a 2 hour film without having to stuff their faces.

It really is crazy for a couple of hours at the cinema. The only reason I've been a regular cinema goer the last decade or so is due to Orange Wednesday and club card vouchers.

Dunno, I compare it straight to Scottish Football, weekly im £16 for 90 minutes, in the cold, bored out my box and treated like st.

£8 for a warm studio and a blockbuster aint so bad in comparison.

Went to see Lord of the Rings when it came out, mid week, early afternoon. Just to avoid the kids. In came a pose of OAP's. Boy, did they make a racket, I think the mints that were passed around at one point nearly choked one old dear, lots of coughing, cries of "I say that is a bit violent" when an Orc got it in the neck. "Who has got the flask" "pas the crisps", "They don't make em like they used to", "Old Bill passed away last week, no, old bill, the one with the limp...."

So bad it was funny.

Haha. Saw The Social Network and had the whole cinema to myself.

Film starts and an ancient couple walks in and slowly shuffles up to my row and then comes and sits right next to me.

They then kept speaking to eachother because they didn't understand all the IT and Internet terms.

As someone who hasn't been to the cinema in 20 years and hasn't seen the original film I enjoyed it.The plot stands on its own feet. The cgi was very good although I don't think they made the most of the 3D capabilities

I saw it last night and I have mixed feelings to be honest. Overall it was enjoyable but there were a few things that could have been done better.

I wish that there was less CGI. JP1 used animatronics brilliantly and I just dont think its always necessary to computer animate everything.

The storyline mentioned that people werent satisfied with the same old dinosaurs these days and that bigger, scarier dinosaurs had to be created to pull in the punters, yet the good old T-Rex turned out to be the hero in the end. I wish the film had had the courage to recognise that and keep the T-Rex in the starring role. For me, a T-Rex is quite scary enough and it's just not necessary to add made up dinosaurs in to the mix. Maybe it will feature more in the next film.

I really didnt care for the the 3D effects, I'm tempted to go and see it again in 2D as I found it distracting and a bit straining on the eyes.

You'd have to go a long way to beat the original and this definitely falls short but I did like the references to the first film and I would have liked to see a bit more to be honest, like the scene of the T-Rex attack for example.

Lots of animatronics used on Jurassic World, pretty much every reasonably close up shot is animatronic and it certainly feels more 'real' because of it, in my opinion.

3D certainly harms the film more than it helps. I watched 2D then 3D in the space of 4 days and I'm so pleased I watched it in 2D first, ironically given it's supposed to be more immersive, the 3D felt less real and more jarring than the 2D version.

Agreed. the 3d helicopter long sweeping shots was like a toy and it looked ridiculous.

I'm assuming there will be. There were a few lead ins to possible sequels.

Watched it last week and brought back memories of watching the original in the cinema as an 8 year old. Loved all the bits from the original.

Also, every time I've seen the trailer on tv thus week it's made me want to watch it again. That doesn't normally happen!

Also noticed they used the same scientist from the original.

Took my son and his friend to see it last night (2D). Thoughouly enjoyed by all. No problems with re-animating long extinct dinosaurs, or even cooking new ones up in the lab, but I couldn't get past the fact that those kids would never get a jeep that's been stood for 20 years running again by just putting a fresh battery in it.
