Saw it today. Enjoyed it. Certainly more than I enjoyed Deadpan.

I didn't find much to complain about it. Maybe there could've been a few more jokes but on the whole it hit the spot.

Just back from seeing it.

Loved it! Hit the spot for me. Margo Robbie was amazing. And those shorts...

Good performances all round. Some funny bits. Good action. Great soundtrack!

Back from a sold out screening.

I wasn't expecting much and left impressed. It was engaging, well paced and had a decent number of laugh out loud moments. Liked the way they covered off their character introductions, not sure they made the most of all of them once they had been introduced.

Best friend/facebook review I've seen so far:

"7/10 for the script.
8/10 for the characters.
10/10 for those shorts."

As somebody who has watched Neighbours for many years it's still very confusing seeing 'Donna' in all these adult roles. The wife said at the time she was destined for big things, fantastic actress.

Off to see it tonight, despite all of the poor reviews; there are a few good reviews out there too, I'm looking forward to it.

Very enjoyable.

Baddie was a bit weak really, and the jump they made to get them against the baddie was also poorly executed.

But it was great fun, good characters

And hot damn... Those shorts. I think Mrs S turned a bit...

I have just got back from watching it.

It's quite a ride... The soundtrack is great and really adds to the film. Margo Robbie steals the whole thing for me. She really needs a movie of her own, with the Joker, who was also really good (Heath Ledger *just* edges it for me, but his portrayal wouldn't have worked with Harley).

I thought Will Smith was really badly miscast ...

...and the part written to suit his clean cut image. Deadshot is described in the film as "a serial killer who takes credit cards", but you really never actually believe this, even after his introduction scene. He's a good guy actor plain and simple and you are never under any doubt that he is going to end up fulfilling that role. It's a shame as I like him, but would much rather there was an edge to that character that made him frightening or dangerous

The plot is pretty thin and illogical, some of the characters are virtually ignored, in fact I think there are too many characters in it if I'm honest.

But, having said all that I actually really enjoyed it, it's an assault on the senses and that's as it should be, there's a constant feeling that the characters (Smith excepted) are constantly on the edge of madness, and it's great. Solid 7/10

Just back from seeing it. Didn't think it was anything amazing. Agree with the will smith comments above. For me, and I'll probably get slaughter for this, as easy on the eye as HQ was, I found her really annoying. I'm not a comic book geek or anything like that, my only experience of the HQ character is in the batman Arkham asylum game, and I found her annoying in that.

Anyway, there were enough positives for me to recommend it, and a couple of good cameos, and I did like the joker too. it is worth a watch. It ties in well with the DC universe, but the DC universe is still light years behind marvel for me. 6/10 from me.

I agree pretty much with this. Good but no cigar. I enjoyed it, I was entertained. Didn't quite fully gel. I certainly didn't laugh anywhere near enough...

The trailer has scenes that didn't make it into the movie! (And that were better...)

But I'm not upset that I paid to see it in the cinema. I do like the night out sometimes...

I saw it today. I can't believe all the positive comments. It was terrible.

as I am typing this I am trying to think of a single stand out moment from the movie and I really can't. The only slight redeeming feature were justice league cameos.

DC need to radically rethink things. Probably the best thing to do would be to drive a big truck full of money up to Joss Whedons house and beg him to take creative control. It won't be perfect, but at least it will be watchable.

Will Smith does have movie star charisma. Problem is, as said above , screenplay makes him too sympathetic. Same with Croc and most of the others as well. How did Cara Delevigne land that role with so little experience? Margot Robbie absolutely superb.

Ledgers joker still better but he was part of Nolans universe. That was better as well. I didn't think pacing was great and would have preferred they kept hard at it throughout and killed more characters off. DC has some great villains and no shortage of them.

It's an OK film. Lifted massively by the very watchable Robbie. Bluewater was sold out for it.

Just got bak and feel pretty much the same, 5.5 really

WTF was that movement of the empress toward end? Somekind of female version of the dad dance! Only bit I laughed at in film and wasn't meant to.

Went to see it on Friday night, left a bit disappointed.

Film seemed all over the place and was jumping forward to fast in the storyline.
Think the joker was good however he wasn't in it long enough IMO.
Harley was great

I also thought will smith was great as deadshot,I've never seen the comics so don't know if he was true to the character.

Stand out scene for me was the first firefight:
when flag says deadshot will cut and run when the fighting starts, only for deadshot to jump up on the car and take a full platoon of bad guys on with his forearm guns and the special forces guys just look on in amazement

As I understand it Geoff Johns is to 'become the Kevin Feige' of the DC cinematic universe, great move as he knows it probably better than anyone and should give the universe a bit of focus. They planned to have Snyder fulfill that role but seem to be backtracking now. Hopefulky he injects a bit more joy into things, it would seem with the Suicide Squad reshoots that they at least know this is something they need to do.

I still think it's a big mistake not linking their popular TV world with the movies, but it's too late for that now.

She's not awful though she does appear to be doing some weird 80's robot dance towards the end. Her role doesn't really give much to do. However, for a working model to get the role as the lead villain in a summer FX blockbuster struck me as an odd choice.
