Anyone else just see Hammond nearly take out 2 pedestrians shooting across a zebra crossing?

yes Although I think this is what I want a modern Esprit to look like.
Yep. Agree about the esprit too. Thought exactly the same.

I've seen one and it's fantastic. No idea what they are on about.

Also St Petersburg looks beautiful

He's clearly a seasoned pro city cyclist, especially given his aggression wink

I wasn't much different when I lived and cycled in Edinburgh every day.

The expert level of hovercraft driving, especially the bridge navigation, is rather stretching the illusion that Clarkson is supposed to be driving it. smile

I don't know why I laughed so much when he piloted the hovercraft through that flowerbed but I did. Lots.

Ed is a top guy.
Yes, seemingly very grounded given where he is now.
I don't really know his music but...

Funny how all those girls in the audience are wet for him now. But presumably wouldn't have given him a second look when he was down on his luck.

Shallow bhes laugh

Yep, one minute he has no idea how to drive the hovercraft...and then he is an expert in the narrow canal and under the low bridges.

Not a great start to the series.

That was a really good episode, it seems the program is a little refreshed. Its an odd way to describe it but it seemed to have more energy and enthusiasm.

The lambo review was OK, although a pity they didn't drive it on the road; the rest was a bit by-the-numbers really. Hope the rest of the series is better.

"With Top Gear back on BBC2 this Sunday, car forum RevWheel has taken the unusual step of getting its discussion thread about the programme out of the way in advance."

What a strange forum that must be
Can't be PH, not a single mention of SIARPC being st.
Yep and no cringeworthy observations about totty behind Hammond.

Not having watched it yet there probably wasn't this week. Totty behind Hammond.

The Danny Bahar Lotus Esprit concept, for comparison.

Why are they wearing Chile badges?

Also, I wish they'd get rid of the SIARPC bit altogether. Who's this ginger weirdo?
Probably the most famous music artist in the world at the moment.

Are most PHers completely switched off from the world? Or are you trying to be funny?
I hadn't a clue who he was either - not on my musical radar at all!! But I never watch that segment of the show anyway, wish they'd bin it

We've seen Jezza drive hovercraft several times now, he's quite adept and more than likely qualified.
Which can only lead me to believe that..... the show is scripted! OMG etc
