The expert level of hovercraft driving, especially the bridge navigation, is rather stretching the illusion that Clarkson is supposed to be driving it. smile
He freely admits its not always him driving the cars during filming, so he's hardly going to be driving the hovercraft all the time smile

That was a really good episode, it seems the program is a little refreshed. Its an odd way to describe it but it seemed to have more energy and enthusiasm.
Yes, I agree. Some of the 'nonsence' has been toned down.

St Petersburg looks like a very pleasant holiday destination.
I thought this, maybe a quick summer city visit. Only £130-odd quid for flights from Gatwick...

I have to admit that I've never heard of that SIARPC ginger bloke who hadn't learned to drive. Is he a member of some popular beat combo or something?

Hammond demonstrating why urban motorists and pedestrians detest lycra louts wasn't a terribly bright idea....

But good to see TG back!

Well that was a fun start to the series that I very much enjoyed!

I think the new Lambo looks great, and its hardly like the Gallardo was mental looking really!

Good news that it's a full 10 episode series too biggrin

I'm in no way shape or form a top gear fan normally, although I did watch the Christmas special, but I have to say I did have a few belly laughs at Clarkson in his hover craft tonight. Genuinely funny.

You might want to check but I think I'm right in saying that you need a visa to visit Russia and it is quite costly and laborious to get. I think the price went up in a tit for tat with the EEC sanctions over the Ukraine conflict? Worth checking before you book that cheap flight?

Totally disagreed with them about the Lambo - looks gorgeous to me, especially in that colour. smile

If you're just staying in one city then all you need to do is get a voucher from your hotel to prove you will be staying there and send it on to a visa handling agency who will do the rest for you.

Good to know, thanks! Having been to India a couple of times I'm fairly familiar with red tape, but I admit I hadn't thought of this...

A quick google and it looks like it'll cost you in the region of £100 (per person I would guess?), is there a cheaper/shorter version?
