I very much doubt that Hammond and a crew were up that mountain for 4 days.
The helicopter that dropped them off knew where they were, so it was not really a proper search and rescue.
Next thing you'll be telling us that Jeremy and James weren't having lunch in London whilst Hammond was dropped off on the mountain!!

You are a joker!

Not a bad episode but Hammond's whingeing was getting annoying towards the end and I was hoping they would just leave him on the mountain and go back and have another big breakfast.

Must have been longer than that, he managed to grow stubble while he was up there...

I imagine the guy in charge of getting the Silverado off the mountain cursed a bit when it broke a driveshaft

If you watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F8T1rMsJtQU , you'll find that Hammond was indeed on the mountain for the whole time.

The image of Hammond standing next to the F150 at the end of the show was hilarious - like something out of 'Land of the Giants'!

As for the adorable Gillian, there was a surprising lack of warmth from Jeremy during the interview, I thought. But Gillian looks so much like one of my ex-students....who is even nicer!

My thoughts exactly, the continuity errors pretty much confirmed it, Hammond getting more and more stubble then I think day 3 he's clean shaven followed immediately by 3-4 days worth of stubble...

Obviously a lot on here grew up with 'that' FHM edition back in the 90s. FWIW Gillian is lovely but Im not sure I get the adulation and the comments on here are extremely cringey.

Anyway, for me, the weakest episode so far. Mountain rescue piece took far too long to get going and by the time it got interesting it ended. Enjoyed seeing Hammond getting shirty and I do love the Breitling Emergency, which I discovered a few months ago.

For the record once its used I presume Breitling need the watch to service and reset it, is that service free?

No idea. But one would presume that the 24/7 monitoring service and International Rescue can't be free, so there has to be a cost incurred somewhere. Maybe the price of the reset is included in the rescue fee?

I enjoyed it,obviously Ms Anderson was hot, and I liked Hammond going crazy.
I did half expect a joke about 1 of the crew being eaten TBH

I stand corrected.

If you see her in a merely two dimensional sense then yes, she maybe wouldn't grace a can of Tennents but Ms Anderson may well be a magnificent case of the whole being greater than the sum of the (lovely) parts. Given the choice of an all expenses VIP trip to the Monaco GP or a date with Gillian I'm afraid the Med would have to wait! Nearly blew a fuse when she went lesbo (almost) in the Fall.. And how the heck did Danny bloomin Dyer end up doing a sex scene with her??

Loved Hammond's correct pronunciation of "Ba5tard5!" that, and JC dazzling May with the searchlight. Enjoyable episode if not necessarily a classic.

What would constitute a classic episode? Well, Ms Anderson as SIARPC, Jeremy's 10 minute Aston V12 ode to the strains of Brian Eno and the 3 super saloons filmed in Germany. Ideas for your best of each segment, PHers?
You have to have the GTR in Japan race as well to that list.

I am rather fond of the lightweight sports cars (Lambo, Aston, Porsche) in Europe when they look for the perfect driving road.

You can get them for a lot less than £12k. I was tempted by one in the past but I wouldn't be able to stop myself from pulling the emergency beacon, so I had to turn my back on it hehe

You can get a dedicated SOS beacon thing for a lot less.

I think I read somewhere that if you pull the beacon on the watch whilst not actually being in distress, you are liable for the charges of anyone scrambled to come get you.

Id have to keep it away from my mates who would think it hilarious to pull the pins whilst down the pub!

Hi mate. Hope you and A are well smile

At the end of filming on Wednesday and off-camera, Jezzer assured us all that Hammond and the whole crew really were up on the mountain for four days. I didn't believe him, but I don't really give a crap. I assume it's all fake anyway so I assume JC was lying to us then too. But it was weird that he was trying to reassure us that it was genuine.

Can't be that bad if they are the best selling vehicle in the US?
The Sun is the best selling newspaper in the UK. It doesn't make it the best source of news.
But the Sun is only 30p and a F150 is serveral thousand of dollars. That many americans cannot be that stupid to part with large amounts of cash if they are as rubbish as you say.

My thought is that if he said it off camera then it probably was the case, they have nothing to hide at that point. I wonder what facilities the crew had, however, as that wasn't shown. When I went to filming of Top Gear (a few years ago) it was when they went on a caravanning holiday and set fire to the van. After one of the pieces of VT I hadn't realised Clarkson was behind me watching it but his comment, to no one in particular was something like "bds, they cut the part which proved I slept in that fking caravan". He had no reason to say it but it sounded very genuine.
