Jeremy and James pay tribute to Peugeot, my favourite one was when Hammond and Jeremy payed tribute to Lancia
I was indifferent about that. I preferred the Communist cars with Jeremy and James. The dialogue is better since they are both good writers. In face I prefer those 2 doing anything over Richard/Other

Even May said something like it the other day (paraphrasing) "is anyone else sick of Hammonds chirpy demeanour" Yes. Yes a lot are!

The Lancia homage was fantastic. They are at their best doing those kinds of reports.

Another short series 22 'preview', although not sure why they bothered!

I can't be bothered to watch it anymore. There's nothing I find particularly wrong with it, I just can't seem to get enthused about it anymore.
+1

My two older grandsons love it. Perhaps that's the target audience now, school age.

Top Gear mag has some info about what's on.

Will I watch?

Probably, at some point, though no longer on my "must watch" list

I usually record and skip all the crap. All the stupidity I find boring, but some of the filming is fantastic. The cameramen and editors do a really good job.

Like all television shows it is a bit hit and miss during the series, but in general I find it a great watch. The only thing that consistently bores me is the star in a reasonably priced car. Not really necessary and takes 7-8 minutes of dullness most of the time.

I'm in two minds on the star in car part. I think a lot depends on who it is rather than the actual idea.

Indeed, I tend to use it as opportunity to go for a smoke unless its someone I'm genuinely interested in such as F1 drivers etc.

You can find some gems in and amongst the dullards though, I'm currently watching a Dave repeat, the star being James Blunt and he is genuinely a very funny guy and his military past is quite interesting!

Here's a pic of some of the ambulances they used. There was a 4th one - A Ford Scorpio van thing.

Its a cheap and easy filler piece. Top gear is not cheap to make, so having bits in it like this mean we have a longer season.

Oddly my mother goes against the grain. She doesn't watch Top Gear and hates JC, but if its an interesting guest then she will tune in for the SIARP bit smile

He is indeed very witty. That tweet by someone saying something along the lines of " just realised how short James Blunt is" and his response...

It's only halfway in.

Amy MacDonald was a good guest too, she's a proper petrol head. The majority have no interest and are just plugging a book/film/album.

Although obviously staged, I did also enjoy the one Jeremy and James did driving all those old cars when talking about how we ended up with the 3 pedal system for accelerator, brake and clutch.

Program synopsis for the first one:

"Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May are in Russia for an incredible race across the vast and beautiful urban landscape of St Petersburg. With their chosen methods of transportation - a tiny Renault, a bicycle and a hovercraft - they race each other and The Stig, who is silently making his way towards the finish line on public transport, across town. Hammond also heads to the test track to find out if the dramatic new Lamborghini Huracan is as flamboyant and fun as an Italian supercar should be. Plus, another top celebrity guest tests their steely eyed driving skills as the star in the Reasonably Priced Car."
