Episode 2
Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May embark on a grand road trip across Australia's Northern Territory.
Tasked with picking a fast, luxurious GT for the trip, Clarkson chooses a BMW M6 Gran Coupe, Hammond a Bentley Continental GT V8 and May a Nissan GT-R,
Looking forward to that because I love the M6 and GTR so it should be good. Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May embark on a grand road trip across Australia's Northern Territory.

Was I watching the same program as everyone else. It was rubbish
30 minutes of the program was a 'seen it all before daft race' with Stig doing the usual banging head on wall
15 minutes of a non driver driving a rubbish car
1 minute of car review - driving sideways around the track which looked amazing
1 minute of Stig driving same car - followed by no review of how it performed against other similar cars
30 seconds not liking the new Ford GT
and 12.5 minutes of rubbish
Surely it's a car program or have I missed something. Surely most of the viewers want a little detail on the tested cars
Oh and the canned laughter - nobody in the studio appeared to even smile other than when the show finished

If it was a comic - it would be like watching the same episode of a comedy 10 times - perhaps if they introduced a new sketch - a hovercraft racing around a city would be good - they haven't done that beforeIts not a "car" programme its a comic an hour of entertainment with some cars thrown in
Actually - A star in a very expensive supercar followed by Stig racing around the track every week in the same reasonably priced car
You DO the "haters" still watch it?
I mean, I hate "Eastenders", cannot bear to be in the room when it is on. I have developed a way of coping with my antipathy, I walk out of the room. But more than that I purposefully do not search out topics on messageboards discussing said soap and tell the posters how carp it is.
What would be the point in that...

Guys, this thread was doing pretty well until the last few posts.
Maybe have a read of this and then try to be a little less predictable?

3 posts in 53 months would suggest you are probably in the wrong place.Actually - A star in a very expensive supercar followed by Stig racing around the track every week in the same reasonably priced car

I generally like to read the threads on the Gassing Station, the Top Gear episode was such poor and thin viewing I felt I needed to share my painI'm a great believer in fair and balanced reporting - Top Gear was not, in fact there was no real reporting, just tire smoking and throw away comments.
I'm a huge fan of Top Gear but for a season opener it was pretty weak.
The race was a bit samey, the Lambo review was very shallow and over too quick and Clarkson taking cheap shots at Ed Sheeran over his hair colour and getting his research wrong was just lazy.
They are capable of much, much better and hopefully the rest of the series will pick up.
As to the poster above and canned laughter - I've been lucky enough to be in the studio audience and there was no canned laughter needed, it was properly entertaining and funny.
p.s. Maybe Lambo should have lent TG one of these to finish up the piece on the Huracan

As I suggested earlier in this thread, I think they know this and thus kick off with the weakest. Things should therefor get better based on past form. They do appear obsessed with tyre burning sideways stuff abuse of exotics. Progressively lost interest from then on.
