Was I watching the same program as everyone else. It was rubbish
30 minutes of the program was a 'seen it all before daft race' with Stig doing the usual banging head on wall
15 minutes of a non driver driving a rubbish car
1 minute of car review - driving sideways around the track which looked amazing
1 minute of Stig driving same car - followed by no review of how it performed against other similar cars
30 seconds not liking the new Ford GT
and 12.5 minutes of rubbish
Surely it's a car program or have I missed something. Surely most of the viewers want a little detail on the tested cars
Oh and the canned laughter - nobody in the studio appeared to even smile other than when the show finished
Don't watch it then. You really only have 6 posts in 53 months and this is one of them?30 minutes of the program was a 'seen it all before daft race' with Stig doing the usual banging head on wall

I note the poster above you has 50000+ posts, now that's posting!!!!!
And my posts have been making a valid argument which I felt strong enough about that I wanted to air them on this forum - a little more proper car content would be nice
Was in the audience for episode 2 which will air this sunday.
SIARPC was actually very funny - i don't usually enjoy that part of the show (x30 on sky for that bit!) but when its 'jack fking bauer' with some great cowboy stories it becomes entertaining
Outback special was really funny and the cars were great.
Worth the 5 hours of standing on a cold concrete floor
Really enjoyed the whole day.

What time did you get there? Just planning my day if I get tickets for March. My colleague went yesterday and am betting she got rounded up to stand at the front SIARPC was actually very funny - i don't usually enjoy that part of the show (x30 on sky for that bit!) but when its 'jack fking bauer' with some great cowboy stories it becomes entertaining

That's an awful call they are making though. How must the women who don't get shepherded to the front feel? Much as I like to see a pretty face I'm surprised their haven't been complaints about this."You, to the front please"
"You, stay where you are thanks"

there is around a 15minute wait from getting into the site and getting into a parking space, security, explanations of where you need to go and do etc.
12:45 we enter the cafe on site, good 15 wait to be served. prices are reasonable given that they are the only food outlet for miles. Burgers, chips, tea etc - 13:10 our food arrives - eat and take tea with us back to the car park. 13:25 crowds start gathering. around 14:10 we are led down to the hanger where the filming takes place.
Few interesting facts we were told on the day
Top Gear is the most requested ticket for a tv show, in the world.
if they sold tickets to everyone that requested them there would be an 88 year waiting list.
Regarding girls that are put at the front...
Richard clearly likes short attractive girls near him and there are different wrist bands given to special people - ones in blue with stars on them were asked to 'make their way to the front' - the rest of us in standard fluorescent yellow just go where you can fit lol.
one comment made me chuckle - floor manager says 'if you are asked to move it's because something you are wearing is causing the cameras to strobe' - clarkson says 'did he give you that strobing bks?, he's just being kind, if you're asked to move its because you're ugly and in shot'

Episode 2 - 1st Feb
Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May embark on a grand road trip across Australia's Northern Territory.
Tasked with picking a fast, luxurious GT for the trip, Clarkson chooses a BMW M6 Gran Coupe, Hammond a Bentley Continental GT V8 and May a Nissan GT-R, as the trio set out on an adventure that takes in crocodile-infested rivers, a race around a vast open-cast mine, an encounter with the world's longest lorries and the majestic scenery of one of the world's least-inhabited landscapes.
Their dusty endeavour concludes with an unusual challenge involving a farm, their cars and 4,000 cows. Also in this episode, Hollywood legend Kiefer Sutherland is the star in the Reasonably Priced Car.
Episode 3 - 8th Feb
Motoring magazine. Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May conduct a valuable piece of consumer research with their attempts to improve and enhance the ambulance. Starting with a belief that current ambulances, which are usually very big and based on a diesel van, are in need of a rethink, the presenters go their separate ways to focus on the one area they think could be improved. May focuses on passenger comfort, Hammond tries to improve response times by getting other drivers out of the way more effectively, while Clarkson confronts the same issue with the invention of what he calls 'the sports ambulance'. Their three very different creations are then put to the test with a series of severe and often messy challenges, culminating in a fast reaction to a spectacular emergency. Also in this episode, F1 driver Daniel Ricciardo is the star in the Reasonably Priced Car.

From the right angle, you might see hers too I know I started it but the mods don't take kindly to this sort of thing.
But she is gorgeous, my intentions are totally honourable and she's wearing a white sweater.....

Without wishing to condone the conversation or even enter it, there does seem to be a striking resemblance to a younger Philippa Forrester there. Which is a good thing.
I remember young Philippa.....Anyway. Episode 1 of the new series. Loved it. Even enjoyed SIARPC which I usually avoid. Yes I know it's the same old stuff however it's an hour of light hearted entertainment with makes me laugh.
Loved St Petersburg. Enjoyed the race & simply adored the Huracan.
And for those TG haters - if you don't like TG don't watch it. I don't like Eastenders, Emmerdale, Corrie etc so I don't watch them & I don't go onto threads whinging about them.
I enjoy TG for what it is. Three middle aged blokes pratting around in cars, having a laugh & entertaining us. Simples. Innit?
Currently watching yet another rerun of the Botswana Special on Dave ja vu Channel 25 FREEVIEW.
Did I hear right? Know-all Clarkson clearly stated when castigating James May for his choice of Mercedes ..
Such inaccuracies cannot be tolerated. Particularly by the most aged of the TG trio who invariably tools about in a three pointed star mobile. Just like many aged in my neck of the woods who have reached pensionable age and drive them.
I'm so disgusted by this part of the show that I've half a mind to write a strong letter to that hallowed organ, The British Broadcasting Corporation. The other half of my mind thinks I should move to Tonbridge so that I could be "Disgusted of Tonbridge" with some credence.
The other half of my mind ( all three of halves ... ) thinks I should enjoy tonight's programme before complaining and composing my disgusting letter. Better still, take out a TV Licence Tax and cancel it straightaway in disgust for a refund.
Sorted!

Re Soaps. I don't watch them either. But if the fans who did noticed that the next episode would have aliens landing and flying cars and people falling over for laughs. I'd expect them to grumble and perhaps a thread on a soap website would be the ideal place to do so.
So I'll re-phrase your request
"If you don't like TG please don't write it on here as I can't bear any criticism whatsoever of my favourite show and I'll cry"
Maybe you could start 2 threads "Post in here if you love TG without reason" and "Post you critique of TG in here"
I'll guess which will have the most interesting posts
