If they carry on employing him in any way on or off TV it makes a complete farce of sacking him in the first place.
You cannot sack someone because of their behaviour, an then decide to re-employ them when it is convenient!
If they are going to lose 10m because he's not there then thats the BBC's problem, and one they should of taken into account when sacking him in the first place.
Don't know that it makes much difference but they didn't sack him, they just didn't renew his contract. You cannot sack someone because of their behaviour, an then decide to re-employ them when it is convenient!

I'm sure it is - for subscribers to The Australian Guy Martin to present Top Gear? This should end the speculation.

In what way does this end speculation? He doesn't say he definitely isn't - just "never say never". http://www.u.tv/Sport/2015/03/30/Guy-Martin-talks-...
I had to chuckle when I popped into Tesco at lunch and saw what was released on DVD today:

I assume it was originally meant to tie in with being released the day after what would have been the "final" episode of the current series run - unfortunate timing now however

Apparently someone high up from Sky tweeted to another Sky employee they would not take on Clarkson

@aford1978 we aren't going to sign up someone who punches a colleague in the face. I wouldn't want that to happen to you or anyone at sky

@stuartmurphy100 Will this mean that Sky will no longer be showing any films with Sean Penn, Russell Crowe or Mark Wahlberg?
I think on the balance of arguments.....Sunday Times Driving has it at the moment!@stuartmurphy100 Will this mean that Sky will no longer be showing any films with Sean Penn, Russell Crowe or Mark Wahlberg?

what does that mean, do we know how high up he is. Even if he is a board member, that's one board member. They wouldn't employ anyone with a history of violence, ok, yeah, all the shows they air don't contain characters like this.
I'm not belittling you, clearly your only passing on the information. But this is a bit Chinese whispers isn't it.
