Glad to see that time hasn't changed opinions of Lost.

The main reason to get annoyed with the writers is that they depended on a huge mystery - why was all this stuff happening? - and promised us that they had it all worked out - ie. they would answer why it was all happening. The whole final season makes it clear that this was not true, and that basically they had been making it up all along.

If all your tv programme is based on is the equivalent of teenage boys going 'wouldn't it be cool if a polar bear skydives into a volcano?' (not a spoiler), the end result is a mess that is going to disappoint. Even more so if they promise you they have a good reason for the volcano, the polar bear and the skydiving.
Well that and the writers also just got lazy

Spoilers final season

Like when the Korean couple were dying together and they were speaking in English!

You get to a point where you have to watch, just in case you find out the answers.

The ending.....less said the better.

To be honest, you'll enjoy it while you're watching it. It's once its finished you'll start to get annoyed when you start thinking "What was that about?", "What happened to them?", "Why did that happen?", "What was the relevance of that?", "Why did this happen for 7 episodes never to get mentioned again?" etc.

Apart from the last episode. That will make you want to commit physical violence.

I realised about halfway through the first season that I cared not why or how and stopped watching. The acting and characters were to be fair very good but the story itself was looking to be utter nonsense. Reminded me of Donnie Darko.

I think Lost is probably quite watchable as a bulk view. I think the most frustrating thing was the week between episodes and then the months between series where you were waiting a long time to hopefully get the answers.

Bulk watching you get through it in a pretty short time so it's not seen as 'wasted', and you don't get as worked up about the unresolved stuff.

I watched the first two series when it came out and I thought it was great.

After that sadly I lost the will to live. One minute they find this hatch. Omg wtf is it. I can't wait for next week's episode. 3 weeks and no mention of the hatch. Wtf. Then they would suddenly go back to it.

It was like seeing Billy connelly in stand up. They would start on something the fk off in 8 directions finally going back to the original point. Funny in a two hour stand up. Not so much waiting 4 weeks with breaks after 30 seconds.

I watched all 7 series from start to finish this time last year. Much more enjoyable and makes more sense when you're watching 5 episodes a night.

However come series 4 it lost the fking plot.

At the end I thought they better not finish this the way I think they are going to.

I felt like smashing the tv up there and then I was so pissed off.

Get out while you can. Seriously come season four you will be bored to tears.

Nothing had any meaning, or any meaning of value. You think the hatch is going to be amazing and awesome. It's just not.
